I did not see a similar thread, so I apologize if this has already been reported.

Artillery fire seems to penetrate bunkers. This is true for both concrete bunkers with windows and underground bunkers.

This is especially annoying when playing as a commander in an underground bunker. You are sitting there doing your thing and you are suddenly dead as your radio just blew up.

If this is by design, I would suggest it be changed. If not, it should be fixed if possible.

Yes, I often see that everyone else survives in the bunker but the commander who is using the radio. The radio seems to take damage from arty outside the bunker, and when the commander is using it at the time, he will die.

you get killed maybe the arty shell explode next to the bunker door, that would blast most of the guys not hiding properly there.

the radio thing needs to be fixed to prevent someone using it to kill other's commander.( i think, that's not very fair )

explosions are quite funny thing in BF2 enginge as long as you have a line of sight to the explosion it can and most likely WILL kill you. so hiding in a bunker isnt always helping when the arty hits near the bunker entrance/door you will die many times. This is sad but this is BF2 enginge

the thing with the arty killing the commander radio inside bunkers seems to me the same problem. but i dont really know the thing, afaik, dev want the radios to be destructible by small arms fire, what i guess, makes them very vulnerable to explosives. And everyone should know what happens to players sitting in stuff when it blows up :(

so i dont know if this can be fixed any DEV ?

I would be perfectly understanding if the arty was hitting next to the open door. But it appears to kill the radio (and commander) even when it hits on top of an underground bunker (i.e. no where near an open door).

I think it's because BF2 artillery fire penetrates all statics and hurts all vehicles behind them, that's just the way it is. It happens all the time, I don't think it can be changed.

i love how DICE and EA failed to Properly Test Their engine...rather funny. Its probably cause they hired Trauma Studios...the lazy Bastards, just look at DC...that mod was so lazily done...yet everyone loved it. I SAY, TO HELL WITH BF2...do it for BFV or 2142. Those engines work so much better, especially 2142..GAWD FINALLY..INERTIA PHYSICS WOOOOOOO thats another thing...every battlefield game known to date has had shitty ass inertia physics xD of all the things to slack off on...WHY THAT.

A good example of artillery hitting through bunkers is the underground flag bunker on Sidi Razegh, under the long white building on the west. Here the arty will kill you if you are on the radio there.. I was in the bunker when the arty was pounding the area above You could see part of the blast coming down through the ceiling of the bunker.. and the dude at the radio all of a sudden dropped dead..

I guess if this is a "bug" in the BF2 refractor engine which is not fixable that we just have to learn to live with it. In all, FH2 is soooo way much better than vanilla BF2 I wouldn't leave the game just because of some inaccuracies..
