Sacrifice has always advertised itself to be an RTS that cuts to the chase (unlike myself). You dont have to play for 15 minutes before the action starts, and you can accually make real decisions instead of being required to follow or imitate a standard build order. Battles in sac can start up, depending on the map, within 1 and five minutes. Unfortuneatley, as if this werent fast enough, I have come across a few true rushers lately. As, perhaps, a matter of fate, the only god who can truly 'rush' is stratos. Thus, there are some of players picking up goblet's old line of lith rushing very early.
This is, to be frank, extremely difficult to counter. And ironically, it is nearly impossible to counter with stratos. Fact is, in a one on one map with two assuming two stratos lvl1 players, the stratos player that rushes will win. Always. End of story.
Not until lvl 4, when stratos inherits a unit that can be effectively guardianed, can the rush be countered.
The reason it cannot be countered, is that frostwolves arent very good against frostwolves, and brainiacs have trouble hitting units as small as frostwolves. In a normal battle this would merely be something of a stalemate, trading units as it were.
However, the rusher will focus on the manaliths. There is no way the defender can kill more than 6 frostwolves before all of his liths are down. The only way to counter it would be to take down all your opponent's liths faster. Something that will not happen.
Id like to note that it takes absolutely no skill to execute a frostwolf rush against another stratos player. Speed should not be confused with skill, especially since sacrifice was intended to play fast.
Lots of people have accused me of rushing in the past, but in accuality, it never was. I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS wait until my opponent has built up his entire army. Why? because I dont care if i win, I just want to know if I personally am a good enough player to win against the full strength of my opponent.
Commonly, rushers are those who only care whether or not they win, and are not at all concerned with whether or not the game was fun. Fun for them is not the accual game, but rather when the little victory screen comes pops up and the little numbers after their names increment.
Rushing is not a test of skill, as so many rushers will insist, but rather a method which gives the highest likelyhood of winning in the quickest, cheapest way possible.
Luckily, a frosty rush can be rather easily countered with either pyro, charnel, or james. I think the solution to the problem is to increase frosty's attacks against eachother..
As always...please forgive any incoherancy.

You are forgiven. However, the only thing you have seen me do is rush Bob. I can do much more... Why don't you go ask Grumling or TheMad, I'm sure they know alot more about me (Jakal) than you Bob.
P.S Goblet didn't even do the raid correctly

How is that assume myself the subject of this thread!! BAH! THE LAST TIME I HEARD THAT I USED RUSHES WAS THE SECOND BEFORE THIS ONE. Not to be confused with my normal ego, but don't you think that I am most capable rusher right now?
Originally posted by TheMad: Also, Mm-_-, what you did in that game was rushing, so what are you talking about?
Excuse me, but that's not all I did you know
I have been rushed those few times I play lv1 and I think it´s boring...
------------------ It´s raining outside... I´ve got a headache... It´s cold... All the channels at the TV shows boring stuff... I am bored... The lightning may come and fry my computer... But I´m not that lucky... All the cats have been outside... In the rain... One jump up in my lap... One in my bead... One over the keyboard... The only thing that is fun is the forum... But there is no one here... It´s Swedish summer...
Burp, I never overused Gargoyles. BTW, your ally TheMad was ALWAYS in the conflict helping you out until he decides to go make more manaliths which was by the time the battle in near the intersection between the two roads that lead to Astaroth was over. I remember his Tickfernos clearly and Spitfires (You were both Pyro to 1-2).
Oh sorry that I didn't mention this. I kicked Kolt's ass and he stated that he has never seen someone use Scythes better than me. JESTA, THE REASON I SAID THAT WHOEVER LOST TO STRATOS WAS A WIMP WAS BECAUSE THE CHARNEL OF PRE-PATCH 3 WAS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE STRATOS OF TODAY.

lordy lordy...why all this junk...
mm, ive told u once, and ill say it again, i didnt make this post in reference to losing to you. Ive lost to you before, and you've lost to me. Ive used and had used against me the very tactic in question...but it had never occurred to me that there was literally no way to get around it. In fact, if you really want to know what spurred me to make this post, i played a game with another player who beat me using this strat. He told me that it was unbeatable, etc, etc...
Then i switched to charnel lvl 1, and beat him. We both agreed that it was a matter of unit balance whether or not the tactic worked.
now please, im sorry i ever made this post....i wish we could just drop it
