The popular gaming service in the UK, recently taken over by massive games firm Game, is to be killed off on 23rd January 2004. It's death knell was no doubt the annual fee introduced suddenly and to an unsuspecting UK gaming public, after a number of years of free play. In it's heyday, it had hundreds of thousands of members, and the biggest gaming server network in the world. Now, it is walking to the grave... :(
Strangely, the original BarrysWorld is being re-surrected, with a very odd name - FreddysHouse - http://www.freddyshouse.com - perhaps they were fans of my EF model??!! :D

It had game servers? And here I am thinking it had a whole lot of CD cracks. Guess you just can't trust anyone these days...
