When you get banned from a server you ip address is banned from it right? And when you banned from all of AA stuff...well your ip adress is the only thing banned? Right. well last nite I was playing WC on a clan server and I got kicked then I tried reconnceting 7 times but it didn't work so then I turned off my modem and shutoff my computer. Then later that nite I decided to try and join that server one more time and to my surprise it let me in:D I'm thinking is this a sign from god? How come it let me back in? Thanks. Peace:smokin:

Since I have had such experience with getting banned i will take this on to my self. Your name may get banned. by name getting banned you can't go to any servers including the americas army website... it says "sorry, but this name has beed banned". then your ip can get banned which only gets you banned from one server but u can't go on even if u cahnge your name! If u wondering y i know so much it is because admins think i cheat. now u can tell me y they think that.

First off getting kicked is different from being banned. Second, unless you know you have DSL with a static IP your IP changes every time you log on or if you keep your modem on it should change every wek or so.

Being banned isn't reliant on your IP address. It is your MAC address which is assigned to your ethernet card which NEVER CHANGES......unless you do a registry hack....email me for details.....

wow, i love hearing people talk about hacks...

if you are dial up modem, your IP will change everytime you log on or whenever the ISP decides to change (could be weekly/daily/etc) if you are cable or DSL, then you will have a static IP

Firsto of all, a registry hack isn'y a hack. It's simply changing the information in a registry entry. Changing a MAC address is a perfectly legitimate practice, as long as it's done for a responsible reason. Secondly, no, broadband isn't always a static IP. You will pay dearly to keep the same IP every time you connect. And thirdly, i was joking about the e-mailing thing. If anybody does actually do it, prepare for a whoopin'! :fistpunch:
