Just now, I had this gun deployed on a wall static and emptied at least 5 magazines into a player about 10m away. You could see him twitching as the shots het, but there was no damage done at all. Realising I was doing nothing to him, he casually walked past me so I got off and knifed him in the back.
Probably not the right place for this but I was looking through the ammo types (Mainly for the Mg34, vickers and Breda 37) I noticed that both the vickers and MG34 had
ObjectTemplate.minDamage 160 ...distToStartLoseDamage 600 ...distToMinDamage 1000
where as the breda 37's ammo is
and no dist to start and dist to min
Can that also be why there are issues with the tripod? I would test it myself but I have no friends, so I ask those who might know... and have friends willing to test.
My strange line of logic would involve all three tripods actually being flawed in the same way, but since the minimum damage caused by the MG34 and Vickers ammo is 160, you don't notice it. The 37 on the other hand has a min damage of 0.1 in certain situations it may actually fire at that. Therefore you can fire 10 rounds before the person loses one hit point.
Now I'm sure that is flawed logic but I cant test otherwise, Guess its up to someone with buddies willing to test.
Stray03;4802477and no dist to start and dist to min
that means it will defaults to always doing 210 irrespective of distance.
i have identified the problem with the breda (bad network code, such that the server doesn't know where you are pointing the gun and so will ignore most hits) and will fix it for the next release.
