Ya down the road, once I get all the basic stuff, I'll probably get something alongs the lines of that.

2 things:

The FX5600 is one of the worst cards ever made. The TI 4200 and 4600 are both faster. A better deal would have been an ATi Card.

I hope the guy bought a new motherboard as well, because no P4 (S423 or S478) will function in a Pentium 3 or Celeron board (S370 or Slot1).

wow, can't wait to get my grubby two tying fingers on a graphics card with 256 megs 'o ram. unfortunately i'd have to agree antman a little,(i dont know about the old nvidia cards being faster than the 5600 though), i'll stick with ATI from now on. (unless nvidia pulls back out in front again with some solid staying power) (EDIT) forgot my signature... ah, that's better...

The Geforce 4 series is faster than most of the FX. The FX 5900 Ultra is not. It seems to be fast enough to compete.

hey, so u guys are saying that the only thing really wrong was the graphics card? cuz the only upgrade i've made to my comp was more ram and that's it. i've played SOF2 fine but the only time i've played AA was at my firends. I bought it but my comp isn't upgraded enought. i have a 766 would that be ok? im definatly gonna get a new chip any suggestions?

Even though the minumum requirements are a 766MHz processor, it's still not enough when trying to pass the hardware test program for AA. I have exactly 766MHz, but it wasn't good enough.

It is always good to have more cpu speed then needed. But it is even better having more ram. But most of the ram that a game uses is in the graphocs card. So i recommend that if u have a slow CPU get a good graphics card.
