How about a hostage rescue mission and model it after (I cant remember where it was but it was in the Regan era I believe)the foriegn hostages that the military rescued, or a bomb map where the terrorists have placed a bomb on say like a nuclear reactor or some other important structure, and each round it(the bomb) spawns on diffrent parts of the map to make it interesting. Who knows.. maybe they will come out with these map packs... Personally I would LOVE to see a hostage rescue ASSIDE from the POW that we have now.. I am talking multiple hostages.

i wish they would make the maps in a way that would prevent the rambo factor and rushing.working as a team would be more fun i think.and yeah good map ideas.they would be fun maps.

Actually I just thought of something that would prevent the rambo rush... LANDMINES!! That would be something huh??? Hehe :) You could have a Demo team that could disarm them. and you had to protect them or you would have to walk across blind

What would be nice to see would be maps where the defensive side is heavily fortified. Maybe putting in an immoble 50 cal machine gun that can be mounted and used. Bunchers and the like where the offense doesn't have much cover and would be best to lay down cover fire and move from position to position. Some more objectivly oriantated maps like a hostage rescue would be nice. The thing about hostage rescues, in my opinion, which makes AA:O more realistic than any other game, expecially counterstrike, is that no matter the number of hosstages you have, they are all going to be in one location and secured. When you are pulling someone out of a camp like that, you won't be running up and saying 'Comeon, lets go' You'll be lucky if you don't have to break into the holding area, undo their bindings and then get them out. Anyway, whether it is one hostage or ten, you will still be dealing with one objective. Also, I don't think you will ever (hopefully) see the ability to kill the hostages. I don't think this should ever be a possibility. MAYBE have a loose loose situation if the hostage dies, the use of grenades would result in this... or stray shots. This would make the players look at what they are shooting...

I think it would be best if you couldnt kill the hostiges.. Some players are sick and sadistic. The heavily fortified mission op would be cool though :) I think that would be cool to have a mission that forces some players to act as a team as opposed to the gun toting rambos that we see right now. Or maybe penalize them for not working in a team by not giving them no weapons for a few rounds.. No weapons at all... Well... Maybe some smoke nades to make it sporting.

Hostage killing should result in loosing on both sides and an EXTREAM ROE violation on the part of who did it. I don't like the idea of being able to kill hostages, but the idea that you have to check your fire is also a good idea. In all reality, the offense wouldn't be dropping grenades in on the camp in HQ-raid, you wouldn't want to risk killing the man you are trying to rescue I wouldn't mind seeing a mission that took place in a urban setting with randomly positioned non-combatants.

Actually I think that killing a hostage should not automaticaly kick the person that shot the hostage. That would be alot better. Another mission that I thought would be cool is have one of your team(would be kinda boring for that guy though)as a Prisoner. But once freed he could pick up a weapon and fight beside you guys. That would be pretty badass I think. Of course while the guy was being held, if either side shot him, then they would be kicked.

I do have one complaint though... Isnt it kinda stupid that when someone gets kicked from a server they can get right back in? I think that is so stupid. I do like the fact that they have to exit the program, but I think that they should be banned from the server for 15-30 mins. I orignaly thought that 24 hours would be better.. but then I thought of the people that accidently fire their weapons at the start(which is still stupid).

Post these under the Feedback section in the Official Map Request Thread. (americasarmy.com forums) That way, your ideas get to the DEVs :)
