Only in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. :p It comes in .50, .44 and .357 that I know of, and I think the .357 is a 9 round mag, but I'm not sure.
I'm not ruling out the possibility that there's some weird variants out there, that I'm unaware of, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. offered a 9x39mm customized one, and these things can ship from the factory with a 16k gold finish, so, it's very possible that there's a .454 Casul version out there I've never heard of.
That said, 12 rounds is a fairly common double stack .45 mag size, so, it's possible that the DE in Max Payne was supposed to be an M1911A1 with a double stack mag, and it got changed late in development. But I kinda doubt it.
Huh yeah, whatever ^^

In Fallout it seems like Desert Eagles only have .44 ammo ... but again, it's a video game. Dunno about the real ones.
I spend too much time here

The Desert Eagle doesn't come in a .45 it only .357, .41 (no longer available), .44, .440 Cor-Bon, and the famous .50 AE. It usually can't hold more then 7-8 rounds as any more would make the gun too heavy to use. Refs. Modern Firearms - IMI / Magnum Research Desert Eagle pistol
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)

Could it be a Jericho 941 chambered in .45? Those are 10 rounds, but an extended magazine isn't hard to believe. The Jericho 941 is also known as the "Baby Eagle", due to the similarity between it and the Desert Eagle.
Does this win the record for dead thread revival?

I've seen a few that have been bumped from 2001 but, I doubt it cause this was made in the second half of the year.
