I saw a player using the Flak Veirling at the Axis Airfield on El Alamein to mysteriously keep killing everyone on Kidney Ridge when firing in the general direction of the ridge - the people on Kidney Ridge would die without any explosions or sound. He said he was firing blindly and getting hit indicators to tell him if he was on target. The amount of spread from the 20mm at that range would mean that all 80 rounds would cover the entire mountain and kill nearly every infantryman on it.
I suggest that a crate or box or tent be put in the line of fire to Kidney Ridge to prevent what's at the very least an annoying exploit.
Same happened to me at Miteiria Ridge, when I stood at the edge of the escarpment.
The Flak 38 on the flag close to the British main on Supercharge can fire into the British main. I don't think it's too much of a problem, but e.g. the commander at his radio can be killed this way. Also, the British Bofors can destroy the German stationary Pak38.
using AA guns vs ground targets is legit in my eyes but randomly spamming flags or certain areas with them to constantly rape infantry ISNT.
it is the same on tobruk with the bofors. (this has been adressed in next patch)
if i remember it i will make a bug report about this
There's a problem on Alam Halfa as well.
I was just playing on Hslan, and there was this pixel shooter luftwaffe.be
He spammed the area around the southern area of the map, so it was impossible to use the 6 pounder, for example. It's ridiculous.
Yeah, i was on that server, too. it´s always Luftwaffe.be...
LOL. And he seems a little indiscriminate. Check out his negative team score.
Can't they fix this on most maps with having items around the AA come up to block ground firing except where they want it? Sometimes it's good to have view to the ground; for example, in RL often AA was turned onto attacking infantry.
But I always hated the self-TK by hitting nearby sandbags if I accidentally lead the air target too low to the ground. OK, I should be more watchful, but maybe have indestructible boxes further back from the AA gun to do the blocking or limit the gun's downward extent in cases where it's not intended as infantry defense.
