Hey what's up? Umm.. my problem.. Well I try to record a movie in AA. I hear that Fraps is a good program, so I download it and install it and stuff. I turn it on and go to www.fraps.com and read the FAQ. I switched my screen resolution in the game to 640x480 like it said to. My computer is set to 16 bit color. Anyways to the actual PROBLEM.. I start the game, get in a Pipeline server and start recording by hitting F9. I wait one entire round (7 mins) then press F9 again to turn it off. I shut down AA and go to C:\FRAPS. There is the .AVI video. But.... the size is 2.00kb(2000 bytes) This is tiny and it doesn't even play. I read up on the FAQ that to fix this you need to have it set to 16 or 32 bit color. My monitor is set to 16 bit color. Is there anyway to set the color for the actual AA game? Anyways can anyone help me out.. please?

if it is your monitor that wont let u go past 16bit color everything must look kinda bad......i would personally go get a new monitor, you can get "decent" monitors for under 100$

uh, you set your MONITOR to 16 bit? do you mean the advanced settings for your vid card? (right click desktop) i havent had any probs with fraps, aside from running it at 800x600, the frame rates take a pretty big hit. yeah, a 7 minute video should be HUGE. don't lecture me, i say screw 640x480.

oh and if your vid card is top notch, record at 10 fps, so it'll look more realistic during playback...
