Found this on another forum and its pretty tricky. Idea is to pick two words and enter them as a search on Google, no quotation marks. You win by only generating ONE result. The words must be accepted by Google (obviously). If they are the words will appear on the top blue bar and be linked to the web(underlined) The resulting page must contain information for it to count, not just a list of words.

example: doink lemur varty Not a Googlewhack cos only lemur is linked

quintuple porcupines

Is a Googlewhack

You can score your googlewhack by doing a search of each word individually and multiplying the results together. For my example the score would be:- Quintuple=34,000 porcupines=48,300 total=1,642,200,000 beat that!

If you enter dodecagon figures into a Google search you get over 700 pages found. To count as a Googlewhack you must only get one. So yours doesn't count:p Neither does Gaming Forums! And it's the higher score the better.

Try entering lemur varty into Google If you look at the blue bar at the top of the page only Lumur is underlined. So even if it had returned one page it still wouldn't count.

Ok, another example. Just got this myself and thought it was a Googlewhack.

lycanthropic mesmerising

Try it, it only generates ONE result, but, mesmerising isn't underlined in the blue bar so it doesn't count. If both words had been underlined then I would have got a Googlewhack. Damn!

Because it generates over 700 pages! For it to be a Googlewhack you must only get one page found.

Found another one. God I'm getting addicted!

ptarmigan skyjacker

Generates ONE page found. Both words underlined.

Score: ptarmigan = 61,500 skyjacker = 37,900 Total = 2,330,850,000 Beat that!

To get a good high score both words need to be popular on their own but not together.
