Lately since I have abandoned Everquest (for undisclosed reasons) I have been longing to get back up into the MMORPG Arena, I long for a satisfying RPG that can fill the void in my heart, a special place I reserve for my MMORPG addiction. I've looked at all the most popular ones, but I'm still undecided. Anyone whose been through this before maybe, or has played a few and know exactly what their like, your input on what a good game for me check out to be is much appreciated.

I kicked a UO addiction about a year or so ago, but I haven't started any new MMORPGs since, save trying a couple freeshards.

For starters, I can say don't join UO! :P That game used to be great, but it's gone to the dogs. EA has ruined the game's PvP system, and now they're even pissing the trammies off because they've devalued almost all the rares in the game. I was going to try out Shadowbane, but I heard some mixed reviews about it, such as the skill system being unbalanced. I had a friend that started on DAoC after kicking UO, and he said it's fun but I've heard the game is kinda lame from others. Another option is SWG. I was actually considering that one for a while, but I heard the PvP is kinda bunk; mostly just prepping special moves and that sort of thing. At the moment, I don't know of any MMORPGs that look very promising. Hopefully some new ones will come out. My dream is to see a Fallout MMORPG, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I guess it depends on what type of gamer you are. If you like cooperative play, SWG might be the ticket for you. Personally I'm a PvP man, so if I'm going to be investing any serious time in a MMORPG it has to have a good PvP system going. Hope that helps a little.

Aye, very good. *shudders* A Fallout MMORPG? Dear god, one can hope to dream! That would be so great. SWG might be a consideration... I'm also lookin at Final Fantasy XI.

I'm definitly a PvP man. It's usually the aspect of a game that I look at the most.

Ah, good deal. Hey, if you were curious about SB, you can do a free 10-day trial of it. Just go to www.shadowbane.com and download the gamefiles, can't go wrong since it's free. I'm planning on trying it out too, I'm starting to get that MMORPG itch again.
