Alright guys, here's the idea. We've all seen how AAIRC overlays itsself over AA. I'd like to propose a program that displays semi-transparent bitmap images over the upper left corner of the screen below the compass. These images would be images of the different maps in AA, and you could select which one you want displayed. Now, while I do have experience programming windows apps, I'm not that sure how to do the overlapping bit. Anyone out there willing to lend a hand?

I'm sorry but what would be the point of this?

Ever played Battlefield 1942? The map helps out tremendously there. If you labeled the map areas you'd know where you were just by glancing at the map.

Well, this would make it better than BF1942 really. Now radioing what compass direction an enemy is in would be useful to team mates all over the map. So, you see an enemy, you report in your location and the direction the enemy is in. Team mates can look on the map and see where that enemy is.

DO WE REEEEEEEALLY NEED MAPS IN AA?? I MEAN THE MAPS ARE ALL SMALL! (MAYBE WITH EXCEPTION OF WC AND WCSE!)

would be unrealistic wich is whats so great about aao its realistic. Ask the devs to add a optian to look at a map. just like real soldiers do so it would be your full screen. No real point in making it yourself because youd never get to use it.

I say the Fireteam Leader and SSG get a map. But it'ld be PAPER, without locations of troops. it'ld be an option if you press F4 or something like that, full screen, takes while to take out and put away (folding, lol). But do we really need a map THAT bad?
