Try the Logitech wireless/cordless 2.5 ghz gamepad. It has 2 joysticks and multiple buttons you can program to use in the game, its pretty cool. The right side joystick can emulate the movements of a mouse, but, as of now, I still have a hard time using it (its not as comfortable to aim and direct myself as it is with my mouse.
This joystick is only about $50, but its well worth it (you can also use it with lots of other games. They have them in any computer based store like Staples, Best Buy, Circuit City, CompuServe, etc. I think the price is worth it, unless you want to spend about $40 for a new mouse (optical one), the kind that has a light at the bottom instead of a ball. Thie ones with the ball are cumbersome (hard to use). Good luck.
My controller is a Saitek version and man, it sucks. I think even if it worked I probably would still use the mouse/kb, the controller just felt weird for some reason. I even dl thier AA profile from their sight and that didn't help at all, still had problems. Save the reciept no matter what you buy, because mabey its just my controller but, it may be others and you won't know till you try em'. Let this thread grow a little and ppl will probably tell you some that are good for AA, as well as the ones that don't. CI sounds like he's got a cool one though!
i only use joysticks for flight sims i use an optical 5 button mouse and keyboard for anything else i play pretty much.
Ya you'ld think because of consoles and game pads it would feel natural, but it actually feels foreign when I'm on the computer.
