I got my GC on Xmas, and it was great... I had two games, one witch i played, and the other witch i did not...anyways, my older brother gave me on of his games which i used to play on his GC. Now that I have my own GC, I played on mine but.... During the first stage, or even during the options, the game just froze...i could not even re-set the GC, I had to turn it off... I thought it was the game...until I just found out that it works fine on his GC. Well, I got Zelda, the main reason I got a GC. Anyways, during some parts of the game it freezes to... I can't re-set it, i have to turn off the GC....dose anyone know what to do about this??? Thanks...
i dont, sounds odd, maybe do what all the people do here. just call nintendo customer service stuff, and ask. also ask if u can get it repaired.
something drastic, u could try and do, is clean the lens VERY LIGHTLY!, with a dry cloth, and try not to scratch it, thats if u wanted to do some home hardware. lol
I almost broke my dreamcast like that awhile back
I had that problem when I got Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 for my birthday. Later when I exchanged it I found out it was a defective game disc. That also happened with Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. Oh, did you by chance get an error message or did it just freeze?

Does it make a lot of noise when it freezes? If so, the lens may be dirty....

Uhh, not very helpful in suggesting xbox i've had mine freeze before with various games and no console or pc is freeze proof, but there are a lot of things you can do to prevent it from freezing
taking excellent care of your games (which i do, the times it froze were with rentals from blockbuster)
making sure your console's lens is clear from dust (with the xbox or ps2 you would need a can of pressurized air)
the coding in games can cause them to freeze too, in KOTOR i had it happen twice from the small bugs
