this bug exists since several versions. why is it not getting fixed ? there are mostly no explosions from the katyusha rockets .. you cant see the rockets .. you cant see an explosion .. you just die or see people die without a reason .. this sucks .. because if you could see the rockets or explosions drawing near you might be able to take cover
its been reported many times and it has to do with BF1942s net code wich means that the FH tema cant do anything about it ..
Odd, because I was playing on a server last week and Alliess were getting killed by invisible nebelwerfer shells in Omaha Charlie. I asked if such bug was going to be fixed in a new version and someone answered me that it would be. I just know it was someone important. Can't remember the name tho.. maybe Turbo_Tiger.. Meh. I think the prob is that shell shots stop leaving trails behind them in the middle of their flight and also don't show the explosion when they hit the ground. It can also be seen in Bazookas when you fire them to the sky. Maybe it could be possible to raise the duration of the showing of the trails or just remove it and the arty explosions might show up... Besides warning you to take cover they would add to the atmosphere.
Same thing with invisible Wespe shells in Karelia. People just mysteriously die of invisible explosions. Only way knowing if you're being shot is from death messages or take mysteriously damage.
this is because the network and internet :naughty:
in singleplayer you see it
If the Katyouchka launcher is an allied , as an Axe soldier, you can't see the explosions, rockets... if the katyoucka itself is out your view. On the contrary, if the Katyouchka launcher is an allied , as an ALLIED soldier too , you CAN see the rockets explossions etc... I assume it has something to do with BF engine and not FH. Rockets from the opposite side, are falsely considered as invisible items by the engine or something like that.
It must have to do with connection issues.
I´ve experianced this bug a number of times and its really anoying !
I think it appears more frequently, the more crowded a certain area is. Maybe we can create a lit on how to reduce FH netload.
Stuff like the bazooka shells beeing real projectiles is unnessesary for game-play and could be removed again.
