As in LotRs Im assuming you mean Lord of the Ring's games? Well, if thats not what your refering to, Im going to talk about them anyway. Regarding Fellowship of the Ring, that game is total crap. Dont touch it. As for the next to games, the Two Towers and Return of the King by Electronic Arts, pure orc ass-kicking Tolkien goodness. The graphics are kickass in both games, the sound is appropriate with all the originial actors, and the cinematic sequences blend perfectly. Though they are both brawlers, I must say I found The Two Towers to have better gameplay, and to be better in general, but Return of the King has such a diverse amount of playable characters (playing as Gandalf and Faramir for me was utter bliss) Id rank it up there equal with Two Towers anyway. Unfortunatly, they are both fairly short games, but have found myself popping it in to play missions over time and time again, its that fun. Return of the King also has a co-operation mode for Aragorn Legolas and Gimli, and an online aspect. Both awesome games.

Is the co-operation the only MP mode?

ya, but the save feature for MP co-op sucks.

resons to get the games: all resons!

resons not to get the game: bad Mp save feature, the game is to short and easy.

Is the game to short? Aye, that it is. Its almost sad really how short it is, but O wouldn't consider that a deterrent to buying the game. After unlocking the extra characters, it was just another task for me to level up every one of them which increased the longevity of the game for myself. However, others who are not so LOTR-crazy will simply find this repetive, as the palantir of Saruman and Sauron levels are the only other missions you will unlock (both of which are pure you slashing your way through seemingly endless foes). So, really you could look at it either way. I couldn't agree more regarding the co-op. It would have been nice if you could do co-op for Frodo and Sam as well, but unfortunatly you can only take the path of the King for it. Infact, at times the co-op can just be a turn off. But still fun to mess around with. It would have been even better if, after having beat the game, you could play it through co-op with any of the characters, but that wasn't included either. Regarding the level of difficulty, I found both the Two Towers and Return of the King, fairly easy games. They are just brawlers, so you can't ask to much in that respect, but still. I found RotK no necesarily harder, you'd just play it through once, see you mistake, and it'd be a piece of cake. Despite these detractions, I would totally reccomend any LotR fan to buy the games, and really anyone else whose cup of tea is in the vague vacinity of such a type of game. They are both worthy buys, but Two Towers is a bit better.

You start out with Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli and with them you can take "The Path of the King" which will take you through two "Paths of the Dead" levels, one where you fight through the guys to get to the King, and then where you fight the King and have to run out of the collapsing cave. After that you will take the trio to the "Southen Gate of Gondor" level where you'll have to fight through the orc and trolls and take down an elephant and blah blah blah to get through the gate the reach the Battle of Pelennor fields, where'll you'll have to do numerous tasks while fighting off Orcs and Haradrim (Easterlings). After that the Path of the King and the path of the Wizard (Gandafl) will connect at the Black Gates and you can be any of the four there. As I said, you can play as Gandalf which will take you through the Path of the Wizard. You take "The Road to Isengard" where you fight to Isengard through Fangorn Forest while taking out Orcs so the Ents can get to Isengard, and you'll help an Ent take out the dam by getting orcs off his back, blow up archer towers, etc. etc. Then you get to the Minas Tirith levels where you fight in "Minas Tirith: Top of the Wall" and "Minas Tirith Courtyard" in the courtyard you will try and save as many villagers as you can, and you have to keep the orcs from overrunning the wall at "Top of the Wall" and then of course you will get to the Black Gates. With Sam you will go through the "Escape from Osgiliath" level where you will have to fight your way out of Osgiliath while avoiding the Nazghul (Black Riders) after that you get to Shelob's Lair with Sam where you fight your way through Shelobs pets to get to Frodo and eventually fight Shelob. After that you get to Cirith Ungol where you have to fight through the tower (one of my favorite levels) to get to Frodo, and then finally you will play the Cracks of Doom level where you must knock Gollum off the edge of the cliff (which is ALOT harder then you think).' After you beat those levels and get at least one person from every path to level Ten, you will unlock four new characters: you can now play as Pippin, Merry, Frodo or Faramir and you can play through the Palantir of Saruman and Sauron levels, you can also now take any character to any level and play it out, which I thought was pretty kick ass. So there you have it, any more questions?

You can, once you beet the path of the king you get path of a wzard for co-op, then after that, you get path of a hobbit!

I know my friend has it and we used to play all the time
