Awesome. What else can I say? Great storyline. (Yeah, I knew that Mithras(sp.) was Marduk all along... well, it was swimming in the back of my head like macaroni and cheese)
Love my name in the credits (I'm the mana fountain. Well, I claim that I'm the mana fountain.) Well, I finished levels 7, 8, 9 (or was it 8, 9, and 10?) Yesterday from 10pm to 5am. Yep, finished the game.
Was it hard? Well, for me it wasn't because I played a lot of the multiplayer... so I kinda knew what was coming to me (or my wizard). I also kinda knew what route to pick, so I had Pyro in the beginning, then Persephone, then I think some Stratos, then James, and finally Charnel. Also, I kinda knew how the A.I. was like. A.I. attack me. A.I. run away. A.I. attack me again. (and so forth).
So, I guardian my men, and waited... did what I had to do... and slowly gathered more souls. So, it may have taken awhile, but I knew that Marduk didn't have a chance. He was a bit predictable. Also, I knew that in the final round, it would be slightly different... so I just ran towards the hill (and I was right that the hill contained more info. for me). Also, I used Death for the manaliths, then teleported back so Death wouldn't come after me. Marduk had Death as well, so I had to basically know when to leave my Alter's area.
I wish Marduk was at Level 12, or 13 (as well as the other wizards). If you are thinking of getting the game, do *NOT* play multiplayer first. Play single player first, so it's kinda like Christmas morning for you, and you can witness all the new spells/creatures through the Single Player.
There's more... I better just post this.
I wished some of my opponents' Wizards did the following:
Fake Alters. I attack his/her alter... thinking it's their alter... when it turns out to be just a empty village. The real alter was down the road.
I also wished the enemy Wizard was at a different level then I was. Especially Marduk. He wasn't that difficult... more like a b*itch, then a bada*ss.
Also, I wished he had spells that I couldn't possibly use myself. That way, the strategy would be tougher. Speaking of strategy, for the single player, the different wizards would have different styles. Maybe some wouldn't just attack. Maybe some would flirt their powers with spells more than their creatures. Maybe some wizards would use their teleportation ALOT! Maybe some wizards would pretend that they have no souls left, and when you try to desecrate their alter, they would teleport out, go to a mini-island... get the creatures... and teleport back to their alter with dozens of Level 7, or 8 creatures.
I also wish more of the changing alliances would happen (that would definitely **** off the Gods). Like, when Pyro got eliminated... he would come back later through revival of faith (kinda like in ancient Egyptian times when one of the Pharoahs changed the religion to worship only one god instead of many, but at the end, it went back to the old style religion). So, the emphasis of chaos vs. order would play more into the plot.
Also, I was expecting a "Legend of Zelda" type of scenerio when I defeated Marduk, I didn't really defeat him, but just a "round" with him.
Like after the final battle, he takes me to another realm (a realm that is not based on one of the gods... a totally different realm), and we duke it out there. This realm would have a bunch of levels to play. Hey, who says that life doesn't repeat itself?
So, it's totally awesome, dudes!
It makes you want more... makes you want to use your imagination and dream about it at night (well, maybe it's just me.)
Of course, there is other routes to take... but I need to have sleep and do other stuff, and after that Netscape thing, it totally screwed up my schedule. Well, when Christmas holidays come, I can fully emerge into the Sacrifice experience!

So this is how you got so many posts?! Great thoughts. I believe that in several missions you fight a wizard that uses higher level spells than you do. Also, each wizard has their own special advantages, Grakkus has extra health, etc. They also have "illegal" spellbooks. Seerix uses Wrath, Grasping Vines, and Rainbow, but has Scythes and Fallen. All her units are Charnel, but only her higher-level spells. The low-level ones are Percy. I think she uses Insect Swarm though.
And as for the Zelda thing, might we take that as an admonishment to get working on those SP campaigns in Scapex? And I promise that if I do one, I will have 10 Silverbacks teleport in at an inconveniant time.
Have you played the last Pyro mission? Spoiler space I guess. * * * * * * * * * * While in general I don't like the high-level Pyro, the last is interesting. You and Sorcha must attack Abraxus, but Sorcha leaves Pyro. Acheron is there too. 3 Wizards. But Charnel is banished after the first few attacks, which gets rid of Acheron. That mission was difficult. There was also a similar situation in Percy's last mission. Fun.
Nope, the last Pyro mission for that SP campaign I played had Ambassador Buta and some other wizard in it. It had that Magnafryer (or something like that) device in which I had to destroy. That level was fun in which you had to make sure you obtain more manaliths than the other wizards.
Fun objective if implemented in multiplayer.
Really weird thing you reminded me about... Jagudarr (sp.). In one mission, I became allies with him, but the next mission I was his foe AND he didn't even remember me (like I had to introduce myself again to him). I think both were early Persephone levels or one was Persephone and one was James (both early levels).

I was talking about the py09, the last mission you play for Pyro, the one where you get Phoenixes. And yes, Jadugarr could very well do that. He helps you on Persephone 1, and is an ally on James 3 or 4, but his association with Marduk makes him your enemy.
The *spoiler* is that he wants you to eliminate some of the Gods, then kill you and finish it himself. I think.
