I didn't make it!
Loads of pages to sift through so not sure if this has been mentioned but here it goes. 2 nights ago I was playing pegasus bridge and was on the allied side. We took the flag near the bunker and thus had to get across the river. I sat down for support fire and noticed a little bug. If I used my alt. fire zoom I could see the cow and the crate on the other side of the river and the bushes. When I wasn't zoomed in the cow, crate and bushes dissapeared and even showed me the people that were behind it. Haven't seen this on any map except pegasus up till now
This happenes in whole Battlefield 1942. There are different Levels Of Details for modesl. So in different distances you see different quality objects in game. Some smaller objects are simply transparent from certain distances. It's not a bug, it's a performance saving and the collisions still stay so you can't kill anybody behind those objects.
Speaking of wallhack bugs, in bushes and grass does anyone else get a glitch where if a explosion is set of in the distance, the smoke causes you to see the outline of anything in front it through the solid bush?
Example: You may be behind a bush and a tank fires a shell 50 m in front of you. It explodes and even though you can't see through the bush, you can still see the smoke through it and even make out the outline of infantry.
You can see this quite alot on my map. It's a 'feature' of TreeMesh model format. There is absolutely nothing that can be done about that.
On Axis go to the 2nd floor window of southern village. Looking out of the window... There are no bushes to be seen
Does this house have windows? If yes I'm afraid that the only technology in bf1942 that could be used for making them look good also made treemesh sprites invisible when looking at them through these specific objects.
Hehe that reminds of that japanese car that had a windshield through which you couldn't see any trees or bushes. Always 'fun' to drive :p Thought it was fixed but I'm not sure.
pvt. AllenDoes this house have windows? If yes I'm afraid that the only technology in bf1942 that could be used for making them look good also made treemesh sprites invisible when looking at them through these specific objects.
