I had to re-install American´s Army on my computer ok until there, when i start AA a Crtical Error message displays on my screen. It says this: No Label Error setting display mode: No acceptable display modes found (D3D_OK). Please delete your armyops.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game. History: UD3DRenderDevice::UnSetRes <- FindBestMatchingMode <- UD3DRenderDevice::SetRes <- UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine I delete the armyops.ini file but this error still displays on my screen. I need some help this problem if u have any idea about this please answer thanks.
Why did you have to re-install exactly? Have you swapped out any hardware? The other thing i would say, may not help this situation, but should be done anyways if not already, is make sure all your drivers are current.(motherboard/chipset,video card, sound card.) Also Defrag!
These are all things that will be asked of you to say set a foundation to work from.
I have the same problem today!!!Yesterday i was still playing, never had problems before! Does anybody know a solution for this problem!!!!
I re-started my computer and everything was normal again!
My guess is that its either software problem like real old drivers, or Hardware. I know on my Comp i sometimes get that error since my Soundcard is bad i just havent had the time to RMA it yet (plus i'd be a few months without sound).
Tell us your hardware config, and i'll give you all the latest driver links. I would redownload DX9.0 from microsoft too.
Edit: just a thought, the game could be not compaitible with your Vid card if your using onboard/ something really old
i have had the same prob with critical errors i get this and it is always on sf hospital or when it starts up =No Label
OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600) CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 2085 MHz with 1023MB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 (5303)
General protection fault!
If u do work out what the prob is let me know please, ive now tried Version 2.0.0a and it does it on that as well. But i have recently increased my ram and Chip so that could be it.........If anyone could help?
