Hello, I was just wondering if it is a bug, that you can load your rifle, k98 for example, with a new magazine although you have still 2,3,4 ball-cartridges (old magazin) in your rifle.

It's not a bug.

you load a K98 with a clip, not a magazine. the MP40 is loaded with a magazine, and the magazine can be loaded with a clip (if i am not mistaken)

I just think when i reload with several rounds stil in the rifle that i remove the bottem om the internal magazine with my left hand and empty the rifle that way :p

I am sure this is related to the beautiful BF2 engin. i doubd this can be fixed.

And welcome to the forums

no the magazine has to be loaded manually, bullet for bullet.

Back to topic: It's the bf2 engine to blame this stupid circumstance. In contrast to RO for example the engine can't "read" how many bullets exactly are still in. The only thing you can do about, is to block any reload attempt (as long as equal to or above 1 bullet) no matter how many bullets are left in the magazine. If you ever played fh1, you probably remember this technique with the m1 garand. Strangely this beghaviour was never adopted to the other rifles.
