Shader problem with PR -1 reply

Hi guys an gals

Kudos on making an excellent mod, the models are truly beautiful

Now I've buttered you up- I have a problem, since installing FH2 the shaders and menus on Project Reality (my fav mod) are messed up, i.e. they are in FH2 style. This means the PR suppression effect and bleed effects are wrong and PR servers kick me as a cheater.

Uninstall FH2- nothing (i'll put it back If i get a fix ;))

Delete cache files to re-optimise shaders- nothing.

I hope som1 has a solution or I'll have to reinstall all over again.

edit- my system is windows XP, nvidia 6800, intel core duo 3.2 GHz, Audigy 2 ZS soundcard, 2GB RAM,

if the solution of shaders doesn't work Install FH again. Your problem did happen because your computer rebooted or lost power when you was playing FH, so our mod hadn't the chance to revert the shaders to the same used in vanilla or other mods.

If you run FH once time more and shut it down properly it will be solved

Stop playing PR...it's bad for your teeth and gums.

j/k...but I can confirm the problem as well as the solution. Just resinstall, fire up FH2 and then shut it back down using the in-game shutdown process.

I played PR recently...whoever calls it realistic should really be shot and killed. Im sorry but I've fired most of the guns in the mod, and none of them react like they do in real life, (Recoils and such). And the ranges are all off....I can shoot someone a mile away perfectly with a AK-47...It should be dropping out of the air at 300 yards.

Yea, a bunch of guys like zangoo, jonney etc are redoing all the ballistics but the number crunching takes time.

But Its the best combined arms game around IMO. FH2 is great too however.

Anyways, Lobo- don't take this the wrong way- I love you and I want your babies.

What you need to remember is that it is a mod to make BF2 more realistic.. and lets be honest here.. that's a tall order and they have done a fine job.

And let me guess, you are an active weapons trainer in real life :p:rolleyes:

You might of shot 'most' of the weapons in PR but i bet you aint shot 2% of them in real life. So i'd say you're talking out of your arse. Claiming a 1,500m confirmed kill with the AK47 in PR confirms this.

Its funny that you mention this, since BF2's view distance is a lot less then 1.5km, or he said mile so 1.6km

My point exactly... however PR's view distances are far greater than nilla BF2.. and they vary map to map. But you wont be killing peeps at a mile with an Ak47 :)
