Hey, I dont know if anyone else has seen this bug, but I was on Omaha as a german sniping allies with my lugar while hiding in a bunker. I must have been a few hundred feet away as the guy was only halfway across the beach when I shot him three times before he died. I kept picking guys off till my ammo ran out. Just wondering if this could be fixed, to give the lugar a range of, lets say, 30 meters? Peace,:smokin: Stu
I didn't think the Luger was in FH.... but I think I've been sniped with a pistol several times before, the Walther if I remember correctly.

Yeah, the Walther P38. It should be 30 meters? bah, ever shot with a pistol?
It still shouldn't be across the battlefield. It should be more like across the base. A German standing on the cliffs at Omaha and firing at Allies charging the beach should not net that many kills. I'm sure bullet drop and such is included for pistols as well as the SMGs, so we shouldn't have to worry about this.
I dont think they added bullet drop to any of the guns...if they did, feel free to ruin my idiotic bliss
I thought they were going to tone down SMGs by adding bullet drop, so they weren't so good at long range. No more being sniped by a Thompson or PPSH, or at least not from the majority of people who won't be able to compensate for bullet drop all the time.
Yeah for anyone who has shot a pistol, me being one, occurances like this in games are sickening. Movies too, I hate watching someone in a movie shoot somone 50+ meters away with a pistol(Bourne Supremacy). If you ever have, or ever get a chance to shoot one, you'll discover that pistol firing is an art. If you don't do it just right, the bullet will go no where close to where it was intended. Even the slightest movement, breath, or anticipating the recoil and bracing yourself for it will mess up your aim. IMO, the max range of a pistol should be 20 meters, and it should only be accurate at that range if you have waited till the cross-hairs have sighted in. In real life for it to be accurate at that range you'd first need many hours of range time with the weapon, proper instruction, proper stance when firing the weapon, proper hold of the weapon, and being able to implement firing correctly(i.e squeezing the trigger, not bracing for recoil). In the end though, I think 20 meters would be just fine. Long enough to keep people from bitching, but accurate enough to appease the realism people. Kevin
I think bullet drop would be an excellent idea. No more sniping with the MG42 kits. Also, infantry combat gets a lot more fun, in vanilla it has always been sniping with rifles.. I like it up and close. Or at least closer. WW2 was pretty close combat if ya ask me.
Bullet drop would only affect pistols and SMGs. The MG42 would still be deadly accurate at long range, as it was intended.
Yeah, moderators if you listening, please don't screw around with the MG42, its one of the best weapons and is realistic the way it is:) . I remember the good ol' days when FH was younger, and you could run around with the MG42 and blast the hell out of anyone in your way with deadly accuracy, pissing the hell out of snipers and riflemen :D Chill, Stu
