Yeah, yeah, I know... but hey, I'm American, I'm a capitalist. I want bigger, better, faster! It's what drives us!

When's 1.7 coming out? A couple months probably (just my speculation).

What do you think is going to be included/updated? I sure hope they change those crappy computer images in the Pipeline Main Control Room. Looks so hoaky, they should have just turned the monitors on or something and not put all those cheesy dials... anyway

I am hoping that tanks and NPCs (ones that fight, not like those at the Radio Tower) will be introduced. I honestly could care less about a medic (anyway, I've always thought a medic to be unrealistic - healing your wounds in an instant) and new weapons such as sidearms.

Thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

PS, oh and this isn't a ploy to get 1.7 really quickly. Honestly, I'm satisfied with 1.6 for a while! Honestly! What?! WHAT?!

ok.... heres my 2 cents about the medic thing... I think the medic should have to do some key combination or some other skill check... Rather then just walk up to someone to heal them... And have gunshots matter against skill.. that would be cool.

I dont think we will ever see side arms... I know that I have heard(through interviews one intelrecon and militarysim) that [DEV]Abraxis(sp?) will NEVER put side arms in there as long as he is there... So dont hold your breath on that one :)

In an interview with Travis Wigglesworth, [DEV]Cyan, AA: Operations level designer, it can be found at the link below.

It said the following:

[Dev]Cyan: Test5 is a new map that is nearly completed. It was named Test5 so that it would be a surprise when the map came out. It's fun to play and will be one of my favorites when it does go public, probably sometime in April.

So sometime in April they will be putting out a "fun to play, one of [Dev]Cyan favotites" level. It should be really cool.

I don't understand why sidearms will NEVER be introduced just because some dev says so? you would see M9's in the real army, along with officers and not just a rag-tag bunch of NCOs and enlisted like in the game.

I find that its so unrealistic, in Weapons Cache and other Ranger maps where teamwork is essential, in that everyone just splits up and does their own thang. I hear all this mumbo jumbo about realism but I don't think its the dev's goal to make it real.

No sidearms, no officers, no teamwork (you have three or four rambo clan members who go off and rack up the kills leaving everyone else), etc...

dual beretta? give me a desert eagle (.50 if able, however the .45 would be good enough) :p dual would be good with that too

seriously, no sidearms should be put in. we dont want CS...

and noone but those that shoot pistols know how accurate they really are...and the truth is, they are pretty bad unless you are within 30yards of someone (that or i just plain suck at shooting ;) ) you cant be like some movie hero who shoots baddies from 50yds away with a stinking pistol!

medics shouldnt heal people, they should stop the CEM bleeding, maybe improve CEM, but leave the person at whatever health they are at.:p

well, the ideas i have gotten about medics (from the DEV interviews) is that they will implement a CEM bleeding effect when you get injured. when you get injured or wounded, your CEM will slowly drop to a point until you get injured again. the medics will either stop the CEM bleed and/or raise the CEM up again. i have heard nothing of things like medics making you go from red health to yellow health (or even back up to green) however that could be the case. and remember, medics only carry so many supplies so its not like you will be able to help your entire squad.

just what i gather (if i read it right in the first place) from the interviews. if it works out like i say then that would be cool. im hoping its even better:agreed:
