When you throw a stielhandgranate at a tank and it hits it's armor, there's effect similar to one when tank shell hits armour (I mean there is loud "bump" sound, sparks, some smoke sometimes, I hope you know what I mean :) )

Tested also mills bomb, it's free of this effect.

Vehicles that I used for testing: sherman, Pz3N, Marder

The stielhandgranate generally makes a surprisingly big impact when landing somewhere. A lot of dirt thrown in the air etc.

That's strange. I've found that on local server. Few minutes ago I asked my friend to set up a server, so we I can check it once again. German grenades were bouncing of tanks without any "special effects" and I couldn't reproduce the bug. Probably one more to throw into X-Files:BF2...

I've seen it on El Ala with the German tanks, where it sparks when hitting it, never payed attention on other maps.

This has been around before 2.15 though, so it isn't a 2.15 bug...

It has always appeared in local games since before the first release, but I have just seen it when someone threw a stick grenade at a bofors gun.

It doesn't matter if it happens in a local game because apparently things can behave differently in a local game and not affect online play. I don't know why that is.

I will do some testing online to see if this is now indeed a bug and not just an extremely rare occurrence.
