SOURCE: Brian Brown The following is an excerpt from 101 Ways to Win Pipeline.

Grenades are the most powerful weapon in the game, and the most ignored by new players.

If you want to play like a pro, learn to use grenades. This newsletter will teach you everything you need to know, but you must practice the techniques to be good at them.

Use grenades to get the OpFor who is not in the line of sight. If you can see the enemy, shoot them. By the time you have taken out a grenade and prepared to toss it, they will have shot you, so dont’ bother with a nade, especially if you can see the enemy’s head!

If you can’t see the enemy, nade them. But, only if you know your own men are clear of the blast zone. If there are friendlies in the area, let them take care of business. If and when they die, you can always toss a nade to clean up the mess.

Nades are the biggest collectors of ROE violations (including nades from the 203), so make absolutely sure you are not going to hit your own team. If you think you may hit your own team, use a flashbang instead of a frag grenade.

How to Throw The latest versions of the game allow great accuracy when you toss a nade. Your left hand index finger guides exactly where the nade will go, all you have to do is judge the height.

Also, if you need to toss a nade straight up, just look as far back as you can and toss. You will automatically toss straight up if you move your mouse to look as far back as possible.

The tougher part of tossing nades is cooking them. Cooking a nade means that you have lit the fuse in the nade, but have not yet tossed it. This allows you to time your throw so that the nade blows up on impact, or shortly afterwards, giving the enemy no chance to hide.

To cook a nade, choose a nade (‘2’), get into throwing position (left-click and hold on the mouse), start the fuse (right-click on the mouse), count to three, toss the nade (release left-click on the mouse), and duck behind cover.

You do not want to be in sight of the blast when the nade explodes as it will very often kill you. Quickly duck behind a wall or obstacle so the fragments can not hit you.

Counting to three is guesswork. Nades in the game do not detonate at a consistent time...just like real nades. Some will blow up at 5 seconds, some at three and a half. The Army says that a five second fuse is guaranteed to last three seconds. Take the hint and throw the nade early.

Now that you know how to throw them, practice throwing them at obvious targets. Open your favorite map in offline mode (see the newsletter on console commands to play in offline mode), and toss nades off walls, up in the air, through ladder accesses, into vents, down fox holes, through windows, and off of pipes.

(P.S. this is copy and paste. same as others. but this time, i put the source just like u guys told me... well, hope this helps)
