This is an annoying little problem: tanks and other land vehicles make nice engine starting sounds, but then remain silent. You can hear the clicking of the tank treads when turning and all, but the engine itself dies....
Not really a reply to your specific posting, but it also has to do with tank sounds...
The Jagdpanther's firing sound (but I think also the StuG3G's one) causes a massive metallic sounding echo on my system... it takes three seconds to fade out at least (tens secs sometimes)... Any one else have this problem?
ya but its with most sounds, its only on 11 herts
also, the SU 76 makes no sound whatsoever.....except firing, but no engine or movement sounds
@topic: It has something to do with your sound settings. I had just recently turned down the sound in hope of boosting performance and hardly heard anything anymore.
One thing I do find wierd is that when some of the british tanks fire it sounds like someone is hitting the armor with a wrench... not quite what I would expect.
i run at 11hz and experience all of the above but this is because i have no sound card, just mobo sound. :( overall game performance, is what matters most to me. i just dont have the system, to fully enjoy all the extras (full textures and sounds) but this is ok for now... until i get a better system :) a better sound card, may solve problems for some. but i need better everything.. my system totally out of date now...
It has nothing to do with your soundcard (im 90% shure of that), cause i got an Audigy 2 and run it at best sound quality and it works fine for all the games. Except FH. So it has to be a bug
i had this problem a few releases ago with the sniper rifle. when fired it sounded like a machine gun inside of a big metal tube. i fixed it by turning up my sound settings. i cant remember which one exactly but it was either the channels or khz. i have an audigy 2 zs platinum so i know it wasnt my card. try something like 22khz with 24 channels.
Never had any soundproblems and I still got a cheap SBLive 5.1 card. Sound quality is maxed out though.
