Hi!

Its no real "bug", its more a annoying fact that, when you die as a Pionier/Engineer and got Teamswitched, you get teamkills if People drive over your mines. Is it possible just to REMOVE all mines right after a teamchange? Its really f()%┬žing me off because i got kicked one time because 2 tanks with more than just one crew member drove over my mines (which i layed when i was german) and i got -X for teamkills which i didn't really committed. Do you understand what i mean? :-/

Actually a funny thing happened to me the other day in respect to this, I set 2 S-mines in an enemy base, One blew up a teammate so I lost points for that, then I had to switch teams before I actually died, so when I did I tripped my own mine and was no more.

Mines only last as long as the kit that laid them is still on the map. When you die, the kit drops, and someone can take it. As long as that little kit is on the map (whether in someone's possession or not) the mines laid with it will be active. Note that because your kit doesn't drop if you're in a vehicle or a static defense, the mines disappear immediately. (Note that you can pick up the kit you died with if you respawn close enough, so you don't have to "re-mine" everything all over again.)

Not sure where I was going with that, but it explains why the mines don't (or maybe can't) disappear as soon you die or change teams.

Personally I think they should last the whole map, just not give the player the kill If he died before the mine went off. Just because the person who sets the mines dies doesn't mean the mine should disappear too. Thus I don't any problems with mines apart from the fact that the S-mines get stuck on bushes.

ehh if you would do that, smaktards would constantly kill them selfs to lay more mines, making a route impassible

Mines do not know who layed them in real life ...they kill all who drive or step on them ....mines when layed shpuld stay the whole game...give the engineers something to do to clear them

Something similar happened to me but in a more unlikely way. I shot at a german soldier as he shot at me. His bullet killed me first, I died, got teamswitched, my bullet hit him, I get friendly fire warning =)
