When I first arrive in the first dream level. I was amazed by the hallways that lengthen when you walk into them. But then I found out that it was just a stupid maze. But since it was easy enought, I didn't see why I should complain. My real problem with the dream level his that, on the second part of the first dream level, when you follow the bloodline (witch a little too orange to me to be blood) ,you can die.

SINCE WHEN CAN YOU DIE IN A DREAM!

As I said:The dream level: good idea, poorly executed

havent u ever heard of the popular theory that if u die in a dream u die in real life? many people believe this because you never have a falling dream where you actual hit the ground.....or u always wake up just as the shot is fired...before it hits you.

also, i think the dream levels were executed beautifully, they were really like a dream, especially the second one ( which was a high not a dream level....but same difference ).

I am aware of that theorie. But come on.

Even if some part were excellent.Like the time you get in the bathroom and wath happen with the door that was locked when you first try to open it.

But I still think that you shouldn't be able to die.

"its a video game....common" I know and I just point this out. I don't really care if I didn't like 3 minutes of the game.

"if u couldnt die it would be to ez..." Maybe, but this dream level isn't even a chapter. It is before part2 chapter 1.

I understood that Max was under influence of Valkyr.

With LSD, a hallicunogenic drug, the effect is dreaming while awake, seeing things that do only exist in your nightmare.

You know all those stories about poor suckers on acid, jumping out of windows because they thought they could fly. They are true. They are all pancakes now. So better watch your steps on Valkyr, or you could be a pancake too. With strawberryjam.

Hi there!

> My real problem with the dream level his > that, on the second part of the first > dream level, when you follow the bloodline > (witch a little too orange to me to be > blood) ,you can die.

Well, since this is a game I just took that as a "must have"...

But I also think that it isn't really necessary to let you die in these dream sequences. Basically they should just carry on the story, generate an ambience, where you get cought, and draw the character of Max Mayne.

For that these sequences are to difficult at the blood lines where you can drop. I did die nearly three times at these sequences and had to reload. That's simply stupid and it secondly kills the ambience of these sequences (and that I feel sorry for because that shouldn't be).

I think you shouldn't really die at these. I would find it better if you drop you fall down and suddenly you fall from the top randomly on one of these lines.

Just my 2 cents...

Bye, Payne Crophil

yeah, or fall back to the start of the maze or something. The ambience in the scenes was really well done, as they communicate the anguish and frustration that Max is feeling because he can't save his family by making you feel it by doing silly jumping puzzles.
