1: TYPE flush into console 2: hit ctrl-alt-del and sort everything by UserName, under your name end everything but explorer.exe and taskmgr, then start AAO 3: Join good servers. FInd servers with good ping, some servers are naturally laggy even if you aren't the cause. 4: Get rid of your firewall(s) and connect directly to modem, don't use a router.

That should show some improvement.

wow 1780 with cable, you need to shut down all programs, if that doesn't work then you have to contact ISP, and yes shut down norton firewall. The chances of you being hacked while that is shut down is a billion to 1. Unless you are a major business.

Hey I'll try looking for this, but isn't there some server farm in Europe that was established to help deal with the the exccessive ping for our friends over seas. I'll go look to see if I can't find something on that. If anybody remembers it was set up in I think mid Dec I believe. Anyways, you might want to also try finding a free adware program to see if your harboring any. One that I know of that works well is AdAware6.0. It has a free 30 day trial, you can DL it at www.zdnet.com . I have a feeling you have a bad/dirty connection going on. Go here and run the full test and see what info it gives you. This is a great place for info on your computer. www.pcpitstop.com . If I find that article I'll get it to you...promise! Take care......

If you have cable BB, you should have something like, 1.5/3 Mb/sec download and 256 Kb/sec upload. Your connection is either to strianed at the hub(cable co.), or your connection is bad. Diffinately talk to your cable co. and see whats up! Did you run the anti-adware software?
