Quoted from Nintendo Power Magazine Volume 169 pg 28 "10. The handle. Okay so it's a little goofy, but imagine trying to take an Xbox with you to a friend's house or on vacation. You would need an industrial crane and a parking permit.

9. It only plays games. That's right. Anyone who tells you that playing DVDs on a game console is a benefit has never had someone monopolize the machine for hours playing Meg Ryan movies while the rental game you have to return in three hours gathers dust.

8. It's more powerful than PS2. PS2 has slower processors and its graphics are noticeable inferior to the GCN's. Sorry-there's nothing very funny about that.

7. Gone plantinum. The Platinum GCN is a work of art, shiny and sophisticated. PS2 and Xbox look like every other piece of electronics hardware created in teh past 20 years, and dust really shows up on those black casings.

6. Controller design. The PS2 controller has way too many buttons, and the Xbox Controller was designed for a giant or an octopus. Ah, but the GCN Controller is elegant and practical-an exetension of the human spirt; an epiphany in plastic; the ultimate interface between mind, body and technology.

5. Experience. Nintendo has consistently produced the highest quality video games for more than two decades dating back to Donkey Kong. You can bet that Nintendo will continue to do so in the future. Twenty years ago, Sony was making Betamax tape machines and Microsoft hadn't even come up with Windows. What will they be doing tomorrow?

4. The incredible freedom of the WaveBird Controller. You can even play from the bathroom. Let freedom ring!

3. Game Boy Player. More than a hundred million people have Game Boys, and we suspect that most of them own a game or two. With the Game Boy Player, all those millions of deserving gamers will be able to play their game on the Nintendo Gamecube as well as on their Game Boys.

2. Connectivity. Sony and Microsoft can't do it because they don't have Game Boy. They have robotic dogs and word processors. Let's face it, they're not really game companies. But Nintendo dose only games, which is why Nintendo innovates ways to play-linking consoles, swiping cards, visting villages filled with animals and sailing the high seas in a talking boat.

1. Exclusivity. The GCN offers The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil Zero, Super Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, Animal Crossing, Star Fox Adventures, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Mario Kart, Metroid 2, Star Wars: Rough Squadron III: Rebel Strike, Pikmin II, Resident Evil 4 and Soul Calibur II as Link. (Thats 15 exclusive reasons GCn reigns supreme.) Try naming 15 exclusive hit PS2 titles. As for Xbox, you can count the number of exclusive hit titles for it on one finger."

Wow that was alot to type. That is from the Nintendo Power Magazine.

Forgot the PS2 controller. Ever heard of the phrase "bigger is better?" The XBox can fit in any normal backpack.

DVDs is an added feature, just like CDs. It's to enhance the experience for people who don't use the PS2 strictly for gaming. It's also to save you $100 from buying a DVD player. Plus, you don't hear us complaining about monopolizing the machine for playing Animal Crossing linkup card games for hours while the rental game you have to return in three hours gathers dust.

Ever seen The Matrix? Some of that applies in real life. Game developers can push systems to their very limits and beyond that. Besides, you can have a technologically perfect supercomputer and have a game with downright crappy graphics and utterly slow loading. It's the developers that make it happen. Plus, forgetting XBox?

Who gives a ****? Black is the style nowadays.

Ever heard of the phrase, "controller S?" Having too many buttons is an opinion, also. They seem to all be used by each and every game for the PS2. Besides, ever hear of another phrase, "third-party controllers?"

As a mathematical statistician will tell you, past experience can have no effect on the future. Besides, Nintendo is doing terrible in the marker (black tuesday, anyone?)

I pity the fool whose bathroom is close enough to see the TV screen. Besides, if the door's shut, how do you see the screen?

You can beat the games and experience them and have fun without the added $100+ cost.

Oh, so now Microsoft and Sony aren't game companies because they aren't completely dedicated to one market in the entire world? Right. Go to a common sense class. I've go two words for you. ONLINE PLAY. The ultimate in connectivity. Trading elephants via handheld can't hope to compare to that.

Lmao! About half of those aren't even out yet! Soul Calibur II as Link? Wow. That one character difference sure makes it exclusive and way better than the other console versions. Yeah.

Dude, let me break it to you.

Oh and by the way, NP says "let's face it, Sony and Microsoft aren't game companies." Nintendo is 3rd in the sales and popularity rankings to them. Who, did you say, isn't a game company?

Half those games are out. Maybe not the Rouge Squaron III but the 2nd one is and same with Pikmin. Xbox has only had one exclusive hit and that was Halo and Halo is soon coming to the PC, which makes it not an exclusive. PS2 mainly has all 3rd party games and there few exlusives are not hits. Go to http://www.gamespot.com/misc/top100_score.html this link and see how many xbox games there on the list compared to Gamecube. But PS2 has more on the list but hey PS2 has been out 4yrs longer than GC and Xbox.

That's a list of USER RATINGS from GAMESPOT. That's not from the whole world. I doubt 5% of gamers go and rate games on gamespot.com.

Alot of people do rate games at gamespot though and so its an average of alot of people. Thats like somebody saying "We polled 300000 people today in california wether or not they like govener" and you responding "Well thats not everybody in california you didn't even poll %5 of the people in california" but you see you get a genral statement on wether or not people like the governor or not.

Actually with those kinds of polls, they poll different amounts of very different people. So by having that one gamespot poll, you are basically discounting the fact that possibly every gamer that doesn't go to gamespot HATES .
