Hello. I downloaded this mod, and it seems that no matter what I do the framerate gets slightly choppy, still playable, but can get annoying.

I have a 2.5 GHz Celeron, 1 gig of ram, GeForce 4000 MX 128mb. I plan on getting an Audigy sound card as on-board video is complete rubbish.

Any ideas why (even on lowest settings -_-) the framerate gets sloppy?

Thanks.

your lack of a proper sound card for one, with mobo sound turn it to as low as it will go. minimum everything in audio settings. also 128mb vid-card, and 1gig ram are considered the minimum for FH i would turn all graphics to lowest settings and see how it plays. if its not lagged, start with turning textures up first, then the other settings, until it starts to lag for you. if at minimum its still lagging, then all i can say is upgrade with more RAM first as its the most preformance boosting. welcome to FH, good luck, see ya on the battlefield :D

First of all, you have a celeron. The wal-mart of processors.

Second of all, you have a 4400. It was great back in the day, but so was the Model T

I personally suggest a complete overhaul.

Well, buying a whole new computer is not an option. Some of us don't have all the money you know. Plus, I'm not computer savvy enough to install a new processor, my limit stops at expansion cards and RAM. :( Well, video card. Got any good recommendations on a new one? I can spend ~$150 or so until my next paycheck. (Still in high school >.>)

get more ram first if possible, maybe you dont have more slots, dunno, but if you can fit more in, get it. get a sound card, it will take a huge amount of strain off the prossessor which is handling all your sound now. the last thing is the vid card, its 128 meg and isnt to bad, but if your comp can handle a bigger faster one then sure upgrade it too. overall ram and a soundcard should be enough to drag you part way out of lagville :D
