Hey all,

First off, thank u for reading this and sorry for the simple question as I am not that good with computers.

I did a quick search for a clean unistall and installation of FH2 ( including BF2 ) and I didn't find anything. Can anyone please quide me to where I can read up on it or tell me how to do it right. The uninstalling seems to be the tricky part. I know there are many different things to do to insure a clean start.

Thanks again Jack

I used Add/remove programs in the Control Panel.

Your OS always leaves some files on the computer, including those install and uninstall files you remove manually with regedit.

Hey Slayer, thanks for the reply but I heard that that's not enough. There are other procedures to fully unistall games and all.

That's right Invictus, I want to know how to manually uninstall BF2 and FH2 to prevent issues. I don't know what regedit is.

Thanks guys Jack

After add/remove programs you need to check if anything was left on your HDD (My Documents keeps some stuff, like screenshots and profiles) and delete it manually.

I like to keep my profiles when uninstalling and reinstalling, and BF2 gives me that option when removing it with add/remove programs.

Btw: regedit is registry editor. You can run it with "Start -> Run -> regedit"

Now, look at my first reply. There is a link in it. (black text is link, click on it) Then follow it step by step. Nothing can go wrong, even the biggest noob can do that ;) Good luck.

Since the uninstall was covered already here are the install instructions:

QUESTION What is the install order for the Battlefield 2 lineup? spacer.gif Answer To ensure a proper installation of the Battlefield 2 series, please install in the following order. If you do not have all of the expansion and booster packs, please skip and install the next software on the list.
  1. Install Battlefield 2.
Note: If you have the Battlefield 2 Deluxe pack, install and skip to step 3. Install Battlefield 2: Special Forces. Install the 1.41 full patch, which can be found here. Install Battlefield 2: Armored Fury. Install Battlefield 2: Euro Force. Install the 1.41 full patch once again.Once this is done, you will have the complete installation of the Battlefield 2 series lineup.

Followed by FH2 2.15 Full (Download Link), that's it. :)

Optional BF2 1.41 patch link: Battlefield 2 v1.41 Patch
