Hello, Battle of the Bulge, El Alamein, Bocage, and perhaps one or two others crash to the desktop 100% of the time. I think I saw a couple posts earlier mention a clean reinstall as a fix - tried that several times, uninstalling everything including BG1942 itself. Does anyone know a fix that works? Better yet, does anyone know why this happens, and if so, will it be fixed in the next release? Thanks very much, Biggsby
the only reason i know why maps crash to desktop is when you try to play them in singleplayer or co-op mode, so basically whenever you try to play these maps with bots.
Fh dosnt support SP you cna DL FHX mod i think that mod will be integrated in 0.63 when its out ..
No, this happens in multiplay online. Like I said earlier, I've done full un- and reinstalls of everything (including BG1942), dropped all unnecessary processes before starting the game, etc etc. I know I'm not the only one who's experienced this, since it's mentioned in forums. To be honest I had given up on getting a fix, but was at least hoping I'd hear "we're aware of the problem, and it'll be fixed in an upcoming release". Ah well...Biggsby
Happened to me only once or twice, first time was a server issue, where all players got kicked. Some got disconnected message and me and a few others were kicket to desktop. I don't think it is FH related. FH demands alot of ram, 512Mb can be low, most suggest having 1Gb. Also if you play on slow connections, server might drop you before map is loaded, that might kick you to desktop. Not sure how to help or give any good suggestions, since we dont know what specs you have.
One you could try is to dl FHx mod and try the supported maps singleplayer. (i am unsure if those maps you have claimed ctd are supported by fhx though, but the readme file tells you which ones are). If those work as intended it might be an ISP, firewall, network issue.

maybe your fh installers are bad?
