Hi im having problems with Forgotten Hope recently. I have all current patches for BF1942 v.1.61b and 0.67a hotfix for FH. However when i still try to join a server in multiplayer on the net i can connect fine but near the end of loading it still crashes to my desktop. Any ideas? As i have said I have all recent versions and im not on a MAC either Help appreciated
Ok - questions I have for you so I might help you: 1. Drivers updated? 2. Hardware Specs? 3. Maps running on the server exist on your hdd for sure? 4. Internet Connection type? 5. Which files did you install completely (because some ppl install not all files even if they think so).
Dell computer Pentium 4 1.8ghz ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128mb 512 DDR ram all drivers fully updated. I know the maps exist because I can play them all when i create a LAN game with Co Op or with Conquest settings. and I dont know what u mean by that last question. I assume i installed all the files I always run the install file automatically instead of customly
I would like to have an answer like: I installed BF1942, patched it to 1.6 and afterwards to 1.61b. Installed FH 1/3 of FH 0.65 to 3/3 of 0.65. Patched it to 0.67 and finally installed 0.67a. If it is working fine on multiplayer local but not in the internet as you crash at the end of the loading it is usually the reason your installed version differing from the server version ;)
I did to BF1942 what u said i reinstalled it one day patched the it to 1.6 using the client to 1.6 patch then patched it to 1.61b. I installed all of FH in order of the install files. But i cant remember if i patched it to 0.67 or patched it straight to 0.67a
Well - straight from 0.65 to 0.67a would explain FH not working ;) Try it out the way I told and let us know.
Had virtually identical problem and mine turned out to be my Norton Firewall, yet it only occurred with DC Final and FH mods. see my post here http://forums.filefront.com/showthread.php?t=188574 If you use Norton, give it a try, if not give it a try with whatever firewall you have...shrug.
