Me-262 jetfighters, for example, carry 30mm cannon ammo. Can the shells peel off the mantle of tanks? Thanx in advance for instruction. I don't want to keep shooting at them if it can't break them up.

It does damage to almost all tanks as far as I know, but not incredibly much. You'll probably need to take multiple passes to get a noticable effect and it's always best to try and go for the lighter armored tanks. To sum it up- yes and please do continue to shoot them- it's great fun and good for you and your team. BTW-I love your username! /grunting in school spirit-like way Puma pride! Puma pride \end grunts ok that was sort of stupid...I'll let myself out...
they do quite alot actually, Typhoon vcan brew up a panther if you hit the roof...Wildcats .50 cals make short work of Chi-Has and HaGo s aswell..well this was in .65
The German 30mm was normally the Mk108 which had very low velocity and normally fired a HE round, not AP.
If a Mk103 is used that had fairly high velocity and fired a AP round and could penetrate about 50mm of armor.
