Ok, up until now, my FH version worked fine. However, I recently downloaded the lasted version of battlecraft 42, BFSPC, an RFA extractor, and a copy of a map my friend made for FH, in RFA format. Does anyone have any insight on how any of these things can cause one's game (FH, reg. 1942 still works) to refuse to start? -Cranman

if you have modified or copied any of those .rfa files inside the BF folder. And these are not complete or corrupted, BF can refuse to start.
example: You made a map and copied it into the FH folder. However this file is not complete or corrupted. This will cause BF to CTD after the splash screen has been displayed...
Ah, thank you. I forgot that I had tampered with a certain file. I re-installed FH, and its works fine. Thanks again -Cranman
There is never a reason to reinstall anything in battlefield or FH... what you had was one map that had one or two files wrong, or the wrong MapID... deleting those files or just lift out that map from the Levels folder would get your FH to work... just a hint for future work, battlefield never needs a reinstall, unless you alter the archive .rfa files (for example if you unpack objects.rfa, change a .con file and pack it again) but that will never happen I hope...
