Hello Everyone :cya:,

Well I would like to start by saying I'm new here. I'd also like to say hello to everyone here. Hello! :D I have just recently gotten into Forgotten Hope and I can honestly say I'm impressed. I'm not big when it comes to playing online,so I've been playing single player. Earlier this evening I started playing the Forgotten Hope single player campaign. Well I am patched up to V0.70 and the first two missions worked flawlessly. But when I loaded the third mission in the campaign (Tobruk) I ran into a problem.:bawl:When I click on the "load" button its loads 3/4 of the way then I get a "BF1942.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. And I can either send a report to Microsoft or not. Is there anyone who could help me with this problem? I would really like to play through the campaign. I'm not sure why I can play the first two missions without problems and then have a problem with the third. If anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello Again, Well its been two days since I posted here. I was really hoping someone could help me with my campaign troubles. Guess I will wait a couple more days and see what happens. I'm eager to play through the whole single player campaign. Forgotten Hope looks to be a very awesome modification for BF 1942. Maybe the campaign is Forgotten Hope 2 will work much better when its released. Thanks to anyone who can help me with my problem.

Ì haven't got the problem with loading maps... You're sure you are patched up to 1.61b?

See my install guide for reference or as a checklist *cough*should be sticky imho

Hello Kouji San :cya:,

Yes I am sure I have BF '42 patched up to V1.61b. I also noticed if I start a campaign in BF '42 it'll play through about 6 or 7 missions before I receive the message like I get with FH. I will uninstall both BF '42 & FH and install them with your installation guide. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks for responding to my thread. This forum seems very dead.

Hey Kouji San,

Well it definately shows around here. :D Anyways,I thought I would stop in real fast and let you know I got BF '42 installed and updated to V1.61b using your installation guide. I just finished downloading FH V0.70 even though it was the 3 parter. The full version links don't seem to work on the download page at the FH website. Oh well,I'll just have to make sure I save them somewhere safe. ;) Well I'm off to install FH and see how the campaign goes this time around. I'll check back in a day or two.

Hello Kouji San :cya:,

I just wanted to let you know everything is going great with the FH campaign. :D I'll be starting the Solomons tomorrow sometime. But everything is going very well since I used your install guide. :bows: If I run into any other troubles I'll send you a private message. Thanks a bunch Sir!

P.S. Are there any other mods that you would reccommend that have single player campaigns? :lookaround:

Good to hear that it finally works now, but don't forget out the multiplayer part of the game :P I know you said your not into online play much, but it is helluva fun. Perhaps FH is the first game/mod you could get into multiplayer ^^

I only play the FH mod, so I can't give you any info on other mods (I only did a few multiplayer rounds on SWgalaxy and DC, but imho FH > all of them :d)

Hello Kouji San,

Well everything is working smoothly. Your install guide worked like a charm. I've had no troubles with the campaign. So far every map has loaded without any problems. I'm very pleased with the campaign and the modification itself. I'm definately looking forward to FH2 when its released. :D

Okay, now I need to vent off some frustration. I'm pretty far into the campaign but Stalingrad sucks. Its like impossible to get the upper hand. For crying out load I'm loosing men like crazy. By the time I'm across the river I am down to like 120 men while the Germans have only lost a few. I am starting to think most of them are committing suicide instead of fighting. One of the most frustrating things is I'll be standing at the docks with 2 or 3 river boats full of men and they just sit there. I say to them,"Hello! Get your butts moving we have a battle to win!". Another thing is I went across the river alone taking out the few Germans that decide to come down the hill. Meanwhile,I am losing men when I'm the only one over there fighting! How the heck are my men dying when there sitting in there boats doing nothing? I've even waited for some of them to go capture the dockside flag before I went across. And while they are fighting the enemy I've rushed up the hill and captured the last flag. However,by the time I get up the hill I have like 30 tickets left while the Germans still have 130. I think the next time I try and win Stalingrad,if I lose the battle I'm just going to continue and move on. Stalingrad royally sucks!! Alright,I am done venting.

Hey Kouji San,

Well my last reply was a complete waste of forum space. Somehow or another the campaign continued onto the next mission. :uhm: So its marked as a total defeat. And I was wrong about the name of the mission. It was actually "The Battle of Stalingrad" and not "Stalingrad". I just played Stalingrad which I won majorly. :D

But now I have another problem with my campaign. The next mission after Stalingrad won't load and causes the game to crash. I believe the name of the mission is called "Zielona Gora - 1944". So now my campaign has come to a complete holt. Plus I think I'm getting very close to the end of the campaign to. Is there anyway to fix it so I can continue on? I sure hope FH2's campaign is far better and without errors.
