Just posting a couple screenshots of some shaders which are different on the 3870, and which looked fine on my old 8800GTS. Look at the guy's arm, the shadows are screwed up. All settings high with full AA.

Now its impossible for the FH team to fix all the different shader bugs, perhaps they even know of this one. However, I'm soon buying a new graphic card, and would like to know of one in the 200 to 300 dollar range which works 100% with BF2 and FH2, which gives no graphical bugs like this, or the weapon flickering I've been experiencing on the 8800GTS. So its more of a question then an actual bug report, and a question to mainly devs and beta testers, since they are the only ones with access to the bug archives, and can thus find out which graphic card performs the best (fewest bugs) with FH2.

Moving this to the help/support forum to see if some people there have some feedback. :moved:

Probably not something that can be fixed by the devs unless new Graphics drivers or a BF2 fix fixes this.

which catalyst do you use? i have no problem with 3870 crossfire using 8.5 (had some probs with bf42 using 8.6 and 8.7 so i sticked to 8.5)

[DICE]LexLuther on bfeditor.org:

Please understand BF2 and BF2142 are built using Nvida rendering and any specific ATi issues are not fixable on our end. Sorry.

The Nvidia 8xxx series has lots of bugs with bf2 but my 9600GT is a lot better, so one can presume that whole Nvidia 9xxx series has less bugs with bf2.

No the 8XXXs with the G92 work perfectly, it's just the previous ones without DX10.1 that have a slew of problems with them.

Oh yes could you explain why I had flickering roads and black terrain patches with my 8400GS and 8600GT? Also horrible errors with intersecting statics (flickering) with anti alias enabled. Also lots of people have reported problems with this nvidia series on youtube with bf2. I had very little problems with my friends 7600GT and my own 7600GS. Also this applies for my new 9600GT.

Because the G92 equipped 8xxx series came later and on the higher end cards...why the air of hostility?:uhm:
