I have just put in a Radeon 9800 Pro, replacing my old 8500LE. I hoped it would sort out my performance issues with FH but I'm still getting bad lag (or choppiness). I don't think it's my ping as I ping around 20-30. The game looks great with my new card, but I can't understand why it rarely plays smoothly. I defrag the HD regularly. Any ideas would be gratefully received. My specs are; Athlon 2200 (1800 mhz) 1012 Ram 120GB HD Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro with latest Catylyst driver.

What graphics settings are you running? AA and AF kills frame rates.

According to the Catalyst Control thing, AA and AF is set to "let the application decide". I can't see an option to turn them off.

it might be your cpu, i have a radeon 9600xt, 1280mbs of ram and 1.7ghz pentium 4 and it lags for me so it might be your processor

To be honest I don't think even the most cutting edge computer with like a FX55 , X850XTPE , 4GB Ram and an Audigy 4 will totally eliminate lag in FH. The maps are overloaded with stactics and textures and the BF engine just can't handle it so it lags. Try turning down your settings or overclock your CPU abit.

Hmmm, I run a p4 3.6,1gig corair xpert with a 6800GT 265 all with the game setting all maxed out and never get lagg none of it overclocked yet, I don't go near ATI stuff so I don't know if thats it but if I was to guess it might be ur CPU,if you over clock it make sure you go some good cooling going on in there.
