After countless days of lagging on prokorhovka (misspell, i know), Sector map, Breakthrough and even the new map pack (!!) I`m buying myself some new gear for my pc. However, be aware that I dont have much cash, so I can`t afford any hardcore stuff. Just regular stuff that stops the lagging and bad graphics. This is what I planning to use, but feel free to come with any suggestions! This is what I have now (Haha, feel free to laugh your ass off:o ) 2600 + (2.08 GHZ) AMD Athlon XP 256 MB DDK - SDKAM 333 MHZ 80 GB hard disc nVidia GEFORCE 4 MX 440 128 MB This is what I plan to buy (again, I only want to improve the graphics and loading time) ASUS A8N5X S939 MAIN CARD nForce4, ATX, PCIe 16x, SATA, GbLAN

TwinMOS 1024MB DDR PC3200 Dual 512MB x 2, 400Mhz, CL2.5, 184pins

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.2GHz Socket 939 1MB Cache, Boxed, " San Diego"

Club3D Geforce 7600GT 256MB SCREENCARD PCIe 16x, 256BIT, GDDR3,DVI+DVI+TV SLI 1 212 Will this improve my game? Feel free to come with suggestions!

It sure will. The step from a GF4 MX (glorified GF2! And finally those damn things are starting to die :p) to a GF 7600 will be HUGE! Where do you live? I still have 1GB of unused TwinMOS DDR3200 lying round. You might consider a dualcore chip instead of the singlecore you've picked now. Though I don't know if your budget will allow it.

I live in Norway, actually. Dualcore chip? Whats the difference in price? And, one more thing, do I have to switch out the PSU for the new graphic card? Do I have the right brands to switch with? Its hard to elaborate it, but when your switching out RAM, CPU and Graphic card, you have to have the same brand and socket type. Do I have that? Thanks alot for the response!

CPU is very nice, I have one myself clocked at FX57 speeds and it totally flies I've never seen anything load stuff so fast and effortlessly.

RAM seems fine but I went from 1GB to 2GB and noticed FH just seemed to be that little bit smoother and I've not seen one person load up before me in any servers so it defiently gives you the edge in loading times.

I've got a DFI lanparty mobo so I can't really say much about your motherboard but Asus are probobly the 2nd best makers of AMD motherboards.

The 7600gt is a nice mid range card and will run FH1 easily and should run BF2 rather nicely too.

Booo! MSI K8N-Neo4!

I hate asus and their stupid proprietary bioses. If you're looking for an absolute steal get this motherboard. Costs about 90 bones, and even though it doesn't have onboard firewire, it's still a gorgeous mobo. Built machines on three of these so far, only good reviews.

What about PSU, do I need to upgrade that? I see that you have to have PCI express socket (something, something). What does that mean AND how do I see if I have/need any?
