Hey, I just got a new computer recently and I am reinstalling FH version 0.7. The problem is I installed all three parts of the install and it still crashes to desktop halfway through loading each time I try to play singleplayer. I am thinking it is probably supposed to need BitTorrent, but I don't know where to put it. Please Help!!! MauserKar98k

FH don't have full SP support, if you want to play with bots go COOP.

I can't if it crashes to desktop when the maps try to load. Where does the BitTorrent file need to go?

Try reinstalling the game if that doesn't work. Sometimes the maps don't unpack properly if you're listening to the music

Bittorrent is downloading format, that is only useful for getting the install files. If you have all three parts already you don't need bittorrent anymore.

What map(s) have you tried to play? Some dont have SP support. Also, can you play map in MP mode? It kinda sounds like something might be up with the installation. Here are some common, generic install-problem fix suggestions, until you can fill in a little more detail about whjat is happening:

  • Defragment your hard drive
  • Make sure you have Bf1942 patched to the latest version (1.61) -- you need to install 1.6 first, if you haven't already done so.
  • Did you possibly install install an earlier version of FH and the uinstall FH 0.7 on top of it? That could cause problems, and you should delete the entire folder and reinstall.
  • Delete the entire folder and reinstall anyway, just in case. Make sure you have enough space on the C drive, and the drive you are installing to. This means at least 800 mb free on the C drive (more is better) and 3 gigs (including the fan map pack) on the drive that has BF1942. If BF1942 is on the C: drive then you need 3 gigs plus 800 mb of unused space.

Thanks a lot for the tips StrangerThanFiction! I forgot to install the BF1942 1.6 and 1.61 patches before installing FH. All right, now I should be playing FH in no-time.:)

Cool, It's nice to hear it was such a simple issue. :)
