Hi i was wondering why its so choppy you just cant play the game how much choppyness it is I am currently playing on a 48ppl serv. Maps like Zielonagora runs super and maps that has not super many tanks.
My specs Are 1.6Ghz p4 Geforce 6600 128mb 768mb ram My cpu isnt the best but my ram and gfx card doesnt suck. One more question what Graphics details should i play with thx ahead.Btw my drivers are the newest one avaílable right now and i have defragged my pc.Might it be spyware not sure cuz then the game would lag.
With those settings except the RAM (1024 MB suggested) you can play on highest details. Maybe you have other programms running in the background that require cpu power and firewall checking every bit of incoming messages from internet?
I have tryed without firewall and hi dont have anything that takes much cpu power in the background. My current graphics details were high il try medium and see if anything becomes better.
Btw, sorry for forgetting about it in the first post but... Welcome to the forums, hope you'll stay here with us on the FH section.:) Well, you might want to try lowering sound settings first (note htat there is second page of sound settings in there) since they realy have big impact on performance in places where alot is happening in small area.

Hello there, you probably just don't have enough ram but let's find out first; when you're playing and you notice choppiness, check to see if your computer is reading (a lot) from it's harddrive (orange light most of the time, I don't know how good your pc knowledge is so I'm assuming a 'worst case scenario' :)). If it is; you just need more ram to fix it or it might help a bit by turning off any other program that is running in the background besides FH. Also it's a 1.6GHz P4, you know it aint the newest and with FH it just might not be enough to handle the load. But don't lose all hope, a bit more ram and turning off programs might improve your experience a lot :) Also like pvt.Allen said: sound has a big impact too, especially when you're playing with an on-board solution. Tweaking those settings can improve everything considerably. As a side-note: I have 2GB of ram and I notice that memory usage is sometimes near 1.5GB while playing FH. As a rule of thumb: more ram is always better :bows: (next system, in July, will have 4GB eventually, probably 2GB to start and another 2 a few months later when prices have dropped) Let us know how/if you fixed it :)
I have 2 GBs too and played FH before with 1. I have to say that there is absolutely no noticalbe difference.
I don't spend enough time here

I get a fair bit of lag too. I have A p42.4GHZ 1.5GB of Ram, and 6800GS OC AGP. AS you can already see, it isnt a bad computer. Why the lag and choppyness? my settings arent too high either. Medium graphics, high effects, mapping and the lot. 100%distance scale and 80% texture quality.
Again the cause are the sounds most likely. Try turning off the sound compleately and check out the performance then.

I'd have to disagree :) Though I know what you mean: it's absolutely playable with 1GB (played a lot with 1GB too). But on some maps I feel a difference, though only minimal. It's ever so slightly smoother in some area's, especially with a lot of action going on.
Now I remember that Lili Marlene told me that he has some performance problems and long loading time on 1 GB with his Staszów Area-1944. I have 2 and have none at all so I guess there is a difference. Also my map might take a while to load with 1 GB. Well, time will tell.
