Hey there yall, i just got my new graphics card, anm X850 Pro, and now i officially have 1gig Ram and in some spots on say Breakthrough, i still get lag near the town area in a server with less than 30 people......some one help plz or ius this the way it should run?
Update drivers. All of them. Inc. DirectX.
Add pb_sleep500 (or something to that extent) in console.
Drink something with a high volume of alcohol. Like Vodka for example. Then you can blame the frame rate on your alcohol consumption. You wont feel so bad for buying a new card that gives poor performance.
Having failed them, take the card out and throw it out of your bedroom window in anger. Alternatively, send it to me via post. My 9800Pro is actually older than my youngest cousin by a year, and I can no longer sustain BF2 using several hamsters on mini-treadmills for when my 9800Pro burns up in a ball of flame.
I think i found my problem....Card recommends 350Watts and my cpu max output is 250W.....gay, guess i have to spend anothe 60+ bucks on a new PSU and install...dam it... but my pc runs Bf2 preety darn well...um is there somethig i can type into counsel to see the FPS like in BF42 type FPS 1 and then FPS 0 ?
Sorry to DP but about power supply when you dont have say the recommendation as for me its recommended 350w and i have 250W so the card obviously is not running at its "FULL" potential right?

250W is disguistingly low for an X850 Pro. My families old PC had a 250W PSU and it could not hanlde me putting in a 9800. Granted the PSU was probobly totally shit and probobly had rails as stable as a paper table. It could be that your GPU is sucking all the electrial power out of your PSU so the rest of the components are not getting enough power, this can lead to component damage. In the case of my 9800 it sucked all the power right out and fans stopped spinning it was that low on power and the old PC overheated and died - Well I was told this by the PC tech guy we called out but the top of the case was really hot to touch.
Don't skimp on the PSU or you will be sorry. If your PSU blows because it is rated as 550w but in reality it stuggles to privde 300w for a sustained period of time you could be looking at a totally dead PC. I am parcial to the OCZ powersteams as they have rock solid rails and can sustain their rated wattage, they are not cheap but they do the job really well. I'd recommend you get atleast a 400w branded PSU to ensure you don't run out of power.
type FPS 1 to see your Frames per second and FPS 0 to not see them.
The FPS 1 and FPS 0 dont work in BF2 for me.....and all my fans are spinning lol.. and i know im gogin to buy a PSU ASAP from newegg ima try and get a 450W+ PSU hopefully soon or for my B day.....but i get about 22-64 FPS in BF2 on mostly medium cept for some settings on high.
As the others pointed, your PSU is not powerful enough :( Once it meets its power requirement, you should be able to play FH at 1600x1200, all set on high, with AA and AF, and still not lag (except in Eastern Blitz, wich probably lags even NASA's most powerful computer when you walk in certain areas).
