Just me getting strange problem with using ironsights?
My screen goes black and white and shaky (just like I've been shot or something)
Any folks here having the same problem or maybe have a solution to my problem?
When I use ironsight I get the same. It's like it's using the TV missle camera from vanilla BF2.
My specs are : Intel E8400 ATI 3870 Audigy X-Fi Gamer Vista 64 bit
Exactly the same here! (see clip) I've been told to clean out my bf2 and fh2 shader cache, re-install fh2 and update my vid card drivers. Done all of that, still the same. Everything else looks great though... Downloaded the full patch from Wolf gameing net
afaik this is because you played project reality earlier and didnt closed that right.
so start Project Reality with their .EXE load some map and close it correctly, then maybe clean your shaders and start fh2 with the right .exe
I assume it has something to do with the new "blur" that you get on the edge of the screen when you zoom in (I love that BTW - reminds me of COD 4!).
i have this problem too, cant seem to correct it.
i have the same problem and i cant delete my shaders because the tool box doesnt work. if u find a different way plz let me know
I find a way to fix it: replace shaders_client.zip in Battlefield 2\mods\bf2 with the one under the folder Battlefield 2\mods\fh2, it works properly in FH2, But first you have backup the original shaders_client.zip.

AFAIK if you open and close mods which use custom shaders (FH2, apparantly PR too?) propperly the shader problem should be gone. When you launch such a mod the came switchs to custom shaders, only if you exit the game normally via the ingame menus should will the custom shaders be unloaded again. If the mod isn't exited properly BF2 will use the custom shaders which will create shader errors.
So as Die Happy suggested: Open, run and close any mod with custom shaders properly. Empty your chache (my documents/Battlefield 2\mods\... ).. See the help and support forum for more information on this classic problem. It's not really a bug.
I've deleted shaders from My documents / bf2/mods etc I've deleted Graphics cache from FH2 toolbox etc I've installed and re-installed the FH2 full patch I've updated video card drivers I allways close BF2 and FH2 properly I have restarted FH2 many times now I have never had any other mod on the PC Static MG's don't have the b&w wobbly zoom effect in zoomed mode All solider weapons do have it though :(
Only thing I can think of is my BF2 video settings?
Terrain - High Effects - Med Geometry - High Texture - High Lighting - Low Dynamic Shadows - Off Dynamic Light - High Anti Alias - Off Texture Filtering - High View Scale - 100%
Would these effect it?
Should I have 1 account for bf2 and 1 for FH2 ( never affected play before this patch)
I'm not complaining as such, I just want to enjoy FH2 to the full, I want to get this sorted :uhm:
Any thing else I can try?
