Recently I'm getting lots of crashes. It always happens when I'm playing on hslan and it usually happens when it's playing Supercharge (maybe that's a coincidence, but I'm not sure).

Sometimes the game just freezes for a second or two and then ctd. I get to send a crash report and off we go to reconnect again. Sometimes the hslan server itself crashes, but yesterday and today I had a new type of crash: the game freezes, the sound starts to loop (today I heard: "Run!" all over again, like 200 times) and I can't do anything but a hard restart. Today I think it might be caused by my ISP as another application which was supposed to be connected to the internet was disconnected as well. But yesterday that wasn't the case.

Anyone even the slightest idea what might be the problem? I don't get any PB messages or anything.

edit: I'm reconnecting again and it says "Optimizing shaders" while I haven't changed anything in settings?

After a major crash you often get the "Optimizing shaders" Message ingame. Hmmm have you defraged you HDD lately? It seems like a Memory or Harddisk problem to me.

Had the same a while ago, but a defrag did the trick.

Mmm, OK. I didn't defrag recently as I own this PC only a few months now. I have only once reinstalled Bf2.

I'll see how it goes in the coming days, maybe it will go away, like so many computer problems ;)

Are you on vista mate? I had loads of problems with fh on vista, but putting my textures on medium (as adviced by a dev on these boards) resolved it all.
