Hi all! Maybe one of you can help me out. Whenever I get into a game with a couple of tanks near me, my fps goes down to 3 or 4. All other battlefield mods work fine on my computer. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. System specs: Athlon XP 3000+ Geforce 6800 Windows XP SP2 College Internet Connection (fast)

After some further tests, it appears to be a sound problem. I updated my audio drivers (AC'97) and am still getting the problems.

I had an AC'97 in my last PC. Cuase all kinds of problems with the sound. Somehow it speeded up all sounds and there wasn't a good fix for this...

Anyway, make sure you have hardware acceleration off, if that doesn't help try going into the direct X dialog and turn off sound hardware acceleration. (start - run - "dxdiag"). Note that some games need hardware acceleration on (MoHaa for example).

a guy that i helped had the AC97 integrated Sound and his problem was that when he loaded a map it crashed and he tryed to reinstall it (he did it several times) and at last i managed to track the problem down to the AC97 sound card he updated the drivers for it and VOILA ! now its working perfect ..
