For some reason my FH1 crashes when I try to load certain maps, such as Stalingrad and the Battle of Britain. It goes to the loading screen when I attempt to go into it, then it loads to about 1/4, then it goes to my desktop with this error message, "BF1942.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" etc. Any clue what that's about and how to fix it?

Is your BF1942 patched up to 1.61b and did you install all three FH 0.7 parts in the right order?

I installed them in the right order, and I updated it to 1.61b afterwords. And I just ran a test, the map Battle of Britain in the normal Battlefield 1942 crashed too (on the verge of computer homicide). Got any ideas? Or should I just through my comp out my window?

It is suggested to update BF1942 to 1.61b before installing FH 0.7 but i'm not sure if it really makes a difference. You could try to uninstall FH and then install it again. Did you have a previous version of FH installed before installing FH 0.7? If the old version was not removed this could also lead to some problems.

Ya, I hadn't updated before I installed FH1, and I've had BF1942 on my comp before, with two different disks (well, set of disks). With both I've had the same issues though. My internet has a pention for going out at random, do you think that could have effected my FH download? Or would it be more of an internal issue?

BF42 must be patched before, so delete the FH folder inside your mods folder and install it again

I ran another test, I uninstalled the game then reinstalled, and the maps don't work still, same ones as ealier. This is without forgotten hope or the update. The error is coming from the game itself. So what is causing this in the game? Are there any fixes for it?

So i would suggest to uninstall both, FH0.7 and BF1942 and then start from scratch. A good idea might also be, to check if the maps work after each step of the BF1942 install and update procedure (not FH 0.7, since all 3 parts are needed together), to see when the error shows up. Install BF1942 > check, install first patch > check, ...

BF1942 BF1942 > Full 1.6.19 Patch 267MB > Incremental 1.61b Patch 6.4MB FH 0.7 FH 0.7 Part1 > Part2 > Part3

I uninstalled everything, reinstalled everything, backed up the files, installed the updates, tested (worked), then installed FH, tested (worked). So it's up and running now. Thanks for all the help guys!
