hey guys I downloaded the file 2/3 via xfire and got the message:

NSIS Error

The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus.

You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy.

It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED).

anyone knows what to do? I mean it would be strange if xfire downloaded a corrupt file, wouldn't it? Or does anyone know which 2/3 file is ok? cause i downloaded 4 2/3files now and i am getting bored...

thx surfer

If you think Xfire downloaded a corrupt file, try a different download link. I would say try one of the links posted on the FH website before you use any others.

If that does not work, it may be the installation software you are using (as suggested by the error message) in that case check the product website for any needed updates or try new installation software.

Hmm, buddy of mine has the same problem. Not trough Xfire, but firefox downloader (could be anything really). Anyway he is running his rig in RAID. And as soon as the download is complete and the files are copied onto the harddrive or manually copied/moved to another location they get corrupted.

This tends to say: His raid drives corrupt the file during a copy/move. Perhaps Xfire is doing the same thing, corrupting the file on completion of the download (it has to write the file from mem/swapfile to hdd) maybe this is where it goes wrong o.o

*just some info, not a real solution. I would say "like Negative_Euphoria" try another download location and hope for the best :uhm:

And once you have them, burn them on DVD like me. This will save you from downloading them again if you lose them and ofcourse from file corruption

I have the same problem: Nsis-Error whenever I try to install one part of FH. I tried a lot of mirrors, but after 5 times downloading (each download takes 1-3 hours) I stopped trying it. When I download the 0.7 .rar -version I'm getting a Crc-Error while extracting the file I searched in different Forums, but noone could help me. Anyone here, who can help me? I heard, that the error is there because of the ftp-download-mirror. Oh and sorry for my bad english ;)

Ok, I solved that problem, but now , when i'm in the first part of the installer it says @ 46% of standartmesh.rfa "Error decompressing file!Corrupted installer?" The same installer worked at two of my friends without any problems

I don't think much people are able to help here. I myself would try other means of downloading FH. If you download them from for example bf1942files.com without any special programmes it might just work? I have no clue about Xfire, maybe it just sucks at downloading very large files and thus the good old method of dowloading without download managers etc. does the trick. :clueless:
