I didn't make it!
Hi everyone I need some help please.. Trying to get info on mac installation is tough on filefront. I have a g5 running os x. Usually my mate gets me the mods n maps for 1942 and it's cool. But FH doesn't work - the screen flicks to black then blue alternately whilst loading, with music playing, then crashes to desktop, unless I press escape and it goes back to the map choices page.. hmm.. So I'd like to install FH entirely again. I can't find any info on mac compatability or how to install it properly - sorry for not being organised, but hey. I managed to put mods on my Unreal2004 ok, (1942 wees on this game from a great height btw) so I'm not completely dippy..
I know most of you are pc bods, but any help is greatly appreciated.. any clues? Searches are not coming up trumps.

Map choices? When you load a multiplayer game and press escape it goes back to server selection, not map choices.... unless you are trying to launch singleplayer. Singleplayer will not work. If you want to play with bots, you still need to start a multiplayer game and choose COOP option. And then again, make sure you pick the maps that have bot support.... and an FH logo next to them

Yeah most of us are firmly lodged in PC land. I have a Mac, but it is much to old and feeble to run BF1942. There are apparently some problems running mods on the Mac version of BF1942, in general. Some work fine, and some do strange horrible things, and unfortunately, FH seems to be one of those, but it appears to be fixable. I have read that people have had some success in running FH on macs by lauching it in windowed mode(hit Apple/Command key on launch of app), and turning off punkbuster, but my info is pretty old. The best place I know of to get more info is http://www.macologist.org/. There is a moderator named adamward who seems to be the FH answer man there, and he is preparing the 0.67a files in a mac-friendly bundle format. Searching for Forgotten Hope on their forums brings up a lot of tech support threads. Good luck!
